Early on, the environment was hot. Sweet sequence as Brody and Hansen squared off and neither one could execute a move because the other would dodge, move or escape. Brody missed a big boot, only for Hansen to follow by missing a lariat. Really cool stuff. The Snuka-Gordy stuff is decent and keeps the action moving. Initially, I thought Snuka and Brody would be horrible but they really kept pace and made this into a fun tag match and a mid-level nomination. The ending kinda sucked but I am used to that by now in All Japan matches. (AJC 158)
May 6, 201015 yr comment_5450530 The crowd was hyped to see Hansen vs. Brody, and I too dug their opening sequence of dodges. Way to build the tension guys. Actually, the whole match was exactly what you'd want to see from these teams -- wild and fast without spinning completely out of control. Brody actually looked good, showing impressive timing on some of his big boots and actually selling for Hansen's blows. It petered out a bit at the end, but I agree with the nomination.
September 15, 201015 yr comment_5455642 Real World Tag League: Bruiser Brody & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka vs. Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen (11/22/87) Brody's back home as well along with Snuka and Korakuen is apeshit for this battle with Brody & Hansen on opposite sides. This place is nuclear when Brody & Hansen start the match against each other not doing much but it was fantastic. Next we get fucking Gordy & Snuka and I'm marking out for this one since Gordy & Snuka was one of my favorite teams of the early 80's and Korakuen is still molten. This is nothing but a brawl as all four men tag in and out of the ring quickly with the action going at a fast pace. Snuka would eventually get worked over before making the hot tag to Brody who would battle it out with Hansen before taking it to the floor where all four men then got into it. Gordy gets back in the ring then tries to pull Hansen in but Brody & Snuka would come over for a tug of war ending up with everyone being counted out. This was a creative way for the double countout and this whole spectacle was great and moves forward very easily.
