All Japan Women Classics 3 + 4

Classics 3

Bull Nakano vs. Itsuki Yamazaki (5/7/85)

- Nakano’s hair looks insane but she looks so freaking young here. I love how they wnet to a mat game early on but when that did not work out for Bull, she immediately takes it outside to brawl. Inside, Bull and Dump’s Army abuse Yamazaki. Anytime Yamazaki gets momentum, the Army takes it away. Finally, Tateno helps her fellow JBA and they double team Bull. As a wrestling match, this was a mess. As a spectacle, it was fun as hell. I don’t know how you rank or rate something like this.

Mika Komatsu vs. Kazue Nagahori (4/2/85)

- Pretty good stuff. Nothing that really stands out but it was a nice change of pace from the previous couple of matches.

Kyoko Aso vs. Yumiko Hotta (7/4/85)

- Not much of a match here.

Classics 4 (at Budokan Hall):

Monster Ripper vs. Jumbo Hori (8/22/85)

- The match was ok but the ending was really weak.

Bull Nakano & Dump Matsumoto vs. Jumping Bomb Angels (Norio Tateno/Itsuki Yamazaki) – (2/3 falls) (8/22/85)

- In the first fall, the JBAs are just being abused. If they aren’t being manhandled and tossed around, they are being hit with foreign objects and choked with chains. Really wild stuff. Great spot as Bull and Dump try to bring a table into the ring and when they turn around, the Angels double dropkick the table into them knocking them out of the ring. What is finally great is seeing the Angels have enough of the Army’s shit that thy start using foreign objects and Bull gets thrown into the chairs. Both teams get counted out for the end of the first fall. As the 2nd fall starts, Dump decides to take out the referee and Bull pulls the ref out of the ring. This leads to a standoff with all 4 girls with weapons in their hands. Amazingly, the ref gets back in and everyone ditches the weapons. The early part of the fall has the Angels in control of Bull. Then, there is a clip in the middle of the action leading to the stretch run as both teams fail to capitalize on the other team’s mistakes. Dump puts it away with a spike piledriver. This was pretty damn fun. The clip in the 2nd fall hurts it but this is still an easy nomination. I don’t know how many times they matched up but it makes me want to see more tags with these two teams.

Devil Masami & Crush Gals performances (8/22/85)

- I didn’t care for Devil’s song but she was a decent singer. As for the Crush Gals… WTF???? This was the sensation across the nation? Shit, joshi will definitely have an extras disc as long as there are plenty of cheesy moments like this.

Nothing this heatless should get anywhere near a AJW 80s final cut.

Too short and there's plenty of other Ripper stuff that will smoke this.
