For what it's worth, I learned from another tape I got later on that the goofy effects are from stuff that you could do on old C-Band satellite dish receiver. This means that theoretically the match was taped and aired normally by the promotion, but the fan who taped it at home did the stupid shit on his receiver as it was recording.
