Match isn't long but ends with Blackbirds ethering everyone and putting lipstick and a dress on Jamie and kissing him, fun angle but probably not disc worthy

 

Texas Dirt v. Buddy Landell

 

Fun, but shortish

Gossett comes out with Spike Huber and kisses his ass.

Spike wins in 46 seconds which he promised before the match.

 

“Nature Boy” Buddy Landell vs. Freezer Thompson (9/9/89)

 

Landell is great.

 

Lawler comes out to talk about Landell’s limo that he won at MSC on 9/4/89 but the limo wasn’t what he thought it would be as it was a rental and he wanted Lawler to foot the bill. Landell comes out and denies everything then as Lawler tries to jump him, Huber jumps him instead. They beat on Lawler with a steel chair busting him open until the RnR Express makes the save.

 

Wild Side (Chris Champion & Mark Starr) vs. The Big O & TD Steele (9/9/89)

Texas Dirt comes out for a promo about his match with Bart for his pickup truck.

 

“Superstar” Bill Dundee & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Black Birds (Brickhouse Brown & Iceman Parsons) (9/9/89)

 

Boss Winters is in their corner and not Harold Harris. This was a fun match while it lasted with Boss jumping in for the DQ using his cane on Dustin. Iceman sprays ether on a rag and puts out Dustin then Dundee until Jamie runs out to try to help before he gets the ether treatment as well. Boss then brings out a dress along with makeup and the Birds put it on Jamie. This was fun stuff and extra material.

 

Nightmare Freddy (Tommy Gilbert), The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton), & Texas Dirt (Dutch Mantell) vs. Rooster Cogburn, Keith Eric, Don Harris, & Keith Roberson (9/9/89)

 

Interesting teams.

 

Bill & Jamie Dundee come out for a promo with Jamie still dressed as a woman and Bill is pissed.

 

Gossett & Wild Side come out and whine about losing their CWA Tag Titles to the RnR Express at MSC on 9/11/89.

 

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Wild Side (Chris Champion & Mark Starr) (9/16/89)

 

This was non-title and really fun while it lasted as we had juice from Gibson & Champion but was short and ended on a double countout. Gossett gets his ass kicked as well and Morton cuts a great promo after the match leading to another brawl. 5 more minutes and this would’ve been a nomination.

 

Next is a Memphis Vice video in honor of the sick Jerry Bryant and this is a definite extra. God what a underrated team that Bryant’s health problems derailed. Then they show Jerry’s wife read a letter about him from a MDA telethon and this is pretty heart wrenching.

 

Black Bart comes out for a promo and vows to take Texas Dirt’s mask and hair.

Texas Dirt (Dutch Mantell) vs. “Nature Boy” Buddy Landell (9/16/89)

 

This starts slow with Dirt favoring his ribs and Landell fiddling around with his imaginary foreign object. It starts picking up with Dirt trying for quick nearfalls but Bart would run in for the DQ. Fun for what it was.

 

“Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony & Mike Davis vs. “Superstar” Bill Dundee & “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes (9/16/89)

 

This was fun but ended in a TV draw.
