Classics 11

The Crush Gals (Chigusa Nagayo & Lioness Asuka) vs. Dump Matsumoto & Rosy Moreno (2/3 Falls) (1/5/85)

- I love the hell out of the Crush Gals but I am getting tired quick of Dump’s Army. I wouldn’t mind so much if the opponents would actually fight fire with fire at some point. Maybe it happens at a later point but it reminds me of the nWo beatdowns with Nick Patrick wrestling every match. Still, I love how she gets the 2nd fall after using brass knuckles on Chigusa and takes the time to hide the knux even though she has blatantly used weapons the entire match. For the 3rd fall, the evil ref counts both teams out even though Asuka made it in the ring before the bell. I could see why someone would vote for this match because there was some wild stuff going on. However, if I never watch it again, I won’t feel bad about that.

Hisako Uno (Akira Hokuto) vs. Akimi Sakamoto (New Person tournament finals, 12/12/85)

- It is pretty neat seeing a young, plain Akira but this match does not have much going for it.

Classics 12

Yumi Ogura vs. Bull Nakano (12/12/85)

- Bull is pretty vicious here. Seriously, she just beats Yumi’s ass here. I think I like Ogura better when she is the one dominating the match. She makes a comeback toward the end of the match but Bull wins after combining big moves with the nunchuks.

Crush Gals performance

- EXTRA! Their haircuts and outfits make them look like two teenage boys.

Jumbo Hori vs. Yukari Omori (Hori's Retirement match, 12/12/85)

- The match itself only lasted about 5 minutes and the end came out of nowhere. The bell just rang. Is Hori pretty popular? If so, we can include the retirement ceremony as an extra.

I understand what you are saying but this match is pretty fucking great- just because Rosy Moreno is fucking awesome. Watch her lean into Lioness' comical Kung Fu kick and make it look like DEATH! My only beef with the match is that Dump has a fork and Lioness doesn't do a Lioness-level bladejob. It's frikin Lioness Asuka- the master of knowing what will get a match over (go watch her carry a 900 pound Kyoko inoue in Jd')- and her forehead wouldn't even make the Nitro camera crew pan back. I truly dug Dump taking it to the mat with Chigusa- showing the world the edge that Chigusa has when Dump is forkless and kendo-less. Another awesome part is Dump distracting the entire arena from Asuka blading by assaulting EVERYTHING at ringside. That's kayfabe. This has to go on.
