Posted February 25, 200817 yr comment_5428620 Stretcher Match for the Southern Tag Titles: The Moondogs (Rex & Spot) © vs. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) (5/2/83) Dogs would pound Lane bloody early in the match using their bone and a chain with Keirn trying to help but Lane just gets destroyed. The bloody Lane tries to fight back and uses his karate kicks to try and fight his way to his corner but the Dogs are too strong. Lane would finally get the hot tag to Keirn who comes in blazing and this turns into a big brawl. Keirn goes for Hart through the ropes but the Dogs hang him in the ropes and they choke the life out of him. Lane brings in a chair and he cleans house as he had gotten the match stopped due to Keirn being hung in the ropes. Lane finally gets him free and stands over him with a chair to hold off the Dogs. They get Keirn on a stretcher but of course the Dogs throw him off until Lane runs them off with the ringbell. This was great stuff and another nomination.
March 3, 200817 yr comment_5428965 The Fabs vs. The Moondogs This is a stretcher match and it's anything goes. All the wrestlers are in the ring to start. The Fabs are making quick tags working over The Moondogs. Lane brings out a chain in the first few minutes. Lane takes a Moondog bone to the head and is busted open. Moondogs just work over Lane. The Moondogs just work over Lane's wound. I love when Stan busts out the karate. A moondog goes for the splash,but Lane gets his knee's up. Lane makes a hot tag, and Lane just soaked up the heat to the tag. That was awesome. Keirn busts one of the Moondogs open. The Moondogs are choking out Keirn with the riopes. Lane tells the ref to ring the bell because his partner is choking. Keirn goes out on the stretcher. I thought this was a solid brawl and deserves a nomination.
March 4, 200817 yr comment_5429002 The Moondogs vs. The Fabulous Ones (Stretcher Match) (5/2/83) - This has been one of my favorite Memphis feuds. Early on, the Dogs beat the hell out off Stan Lane and he is a bloody mess. Still, even though he is being pounded on, he still has time for his karate kicks. I love how Keirn has so much hatred for these guys that he takes a play from their book and bites the head of one of the Dogs. This is the match where Keirn gets his head stuck in the ropes and gets abused. It looked like they were going to rip his head off. THis is a definite nomination. (EDIT: Looks like Kris and I noticed the same things)
April 24, 200817 yr comment_5430840 Yeah this is really, really violent. I really like ass kicker Fabs, and the finish was one of the nastier finishes I have seen for a match like this. The bump Keirn took after being hung was super nasty
