Posted February 25, 200817 yr comment_5428623 This is a great example of your traditional lucha trios match. Mat work opening, with a long awesome Panther v. Demon section, and a really great Nombre (Mascara Sagrada) Charles mat section with Nombre constantly doing amateur reversals of every escape Charles tried. Rudo beat down second fall was fine, and your big third fall had all the armdrags and bumps and dives you want from something like this.
February 26, 200817 yr comment_5428652 Blue Panther's magical ability to do shit with Blue Demon is always neat and their opening mat work is really tight. The Emilio charles v Mascara Sagrada mat section is super simple but really awesome and effective. Really big third fall and for match on paper with technico team of Javier Cruz and two guys along for ride... the two guys get rid hard and shockingly understated Javier Cruz.
August 10, 201312 yr comment_5555668 Loved the first fall with the great matwork... seriously great matwork. Problem is the match sort of peaked there. 2nd fall was nothing and the third fall was fine but what happened to distinguish it from the super trios on the set?
August 16, 201312 yr Author comment_5556700 I really disagree with Will here, I rewatched this and think it is at a higher level then a lot of the trios matches which have gone through. The matwork in the first fall is truly elite stuff and that is what makes it stand out, but everything else in this was good too, I liked Bala and Charles's bumping alot, I thought the double pin elimination was really neat and the big dive was a big dive. Very good match and No Brainer set pick. Kris watch this ASAP.
August 16, 201312 yr comment_5556734 Blue Demon Jr./Javier "El Monarca" Cruz/Mascara Sagrada vs. Blue Panther/Emilio Charles Jr./Hombre Bala (8/4/89) No idea why the cryon said Hombre sin Nombre as he is clearly announced as Mascara Sagrada. Tom hit it on the head as Panther brings out the best in Demon always has which I guess is the blue envy. The matwork early is just so damn good as everyone was on top of their game and I was really digging Sagrada going all Edcar "Boo" Thomas on Emilio rolling him around. I liked that Cruz & Bala brought the more athletic style to counter the heavy matwork in the 1st fall also. Tecnicos take the 1st fall and start the next one strong as again Sagrada looks very good. FUCK....BP with the Khali Chop on Javier was AWESOME and that kickstarted the rudos dominance as they would put away the tecs easily to take the 2nd fall to even the odds. The 3rd fall featured all the bumps and dives you want from the deciding fall with both teams looking good. Cruz just killed Emilio with a tope suicida after Emilio took a huge bump to the floor. BP being desperate and fouling Sagrada was okay for a finish as well. I thought this was great fun and I think this is a solid nomination.
