Posted February 26, 200817 yr comment_5428644 No matches of note here, but the 11/4 show does have the very start of the Lawler heel turn, which is an absolute extra. He shows his frustration with Dutch and Dundee and it is totally awesome stuff
May 18, 200817 yr comment_5431367 This starts with highlights of a RnR Express/Black Birds brawl at MSC on 10/16/89. It looked great. “Dirty” Dutch Mantell vs. Kevin Dillenger (10/21/89) Dutch cuts a promo on DWB before the match so DWB & DWG come out to scout the match and give Dillenger some tips. Dutch still gets the win fairly easily. “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony vs. Kelvin Austin aka Dream Warrior (10/21/89) Squash. Dutch comes out to scout DWB and Dutch is invited into the ring after the match for a brawl. Ricky Morton comes out alone as Robert Gibson was called back home to check on his mother (yeah right) and he narrates the clips from MSC shown earlier. Reggie B. Fine would come out wanting money from Morton for ripping his shirt and as this happens Morton turns his back to the dressing room leading to him getting his ass kicked by the Black Birds. They would use a baseball bat on Morton’s ribs until the faces would make the save. Chris Champion vs. Freezer Thompson (10/21/89) They are teasing dissension between Wild Side as Starr isn’t around and Freezer gets a lot of offense early on. Gossett leaves the announce position and gets in Champion’s face telling him to man up and that is what he does. Birds & Reggie come out gloating about Morton. The Black Birds (Brickhouse Brown & Iceman King Parsons) vs. The Enforcers (10/21/89) Squash. Morton would come back out taped up with Dutch and promises revenge. The show starts with clips of the Soultaker winning the Unified Heavyweight Title from Lawler and Mark Starr being fired by Ronnie Gossett from MSC on 10/23/89. Kevin Dillenger cuts a funny promo before his match talking about how great he is and his illustrious high school football career. Sean Regal vs. Kevin Dillenger (10/28/89) Regal of course gets the win. DWB gets a letter from some chick in Georgia through Dave Brown who had to sign for it and this is the beginning of dissension with DWB & DWG. “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony vs. Tim Hall (10/28/89) Squash. Freddy would confront DWB after the match wanting a title match. CWA Heavyweight Title: “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony © vs. Nightmare Freddy (10/28/89) DWB beats on “Freddy” which is something that no other wrestler has done pinning him easily. The real Freddy would come out running DWB off and beats on the fake one. The Soultaker vs. The Big O (10/28/89) Squash. Then we get clips of why Mark Starr was fired at MSC on 10/23/89. Gossett & Champion then cut a taped promo afterwards. Lawler comes out and talks about losing the Unified title then show clips from the lumberjack match at MSC on 10/23/89. DWB would trip up Lawler setting off a brawl on the floor as Nate the Rat jumps Lawler with the cane. Taker would attack Lawler but Dutch would nail him with the cane and would then hit Lawler by mistake. Lawler then chews out Dutch after the match for his mistake. We come back live and Lawler is upset with Dutch which would bring him out then Dundee for a big debate. Lawler tells them to stay out of his business. Definite extra material as this is the beginning of the Lawler heel turn. New York Brawler vs. Don Kelly (10/28/89) No idea on this guy. Next is clips of The Violator vs. Dustin Rhodes at MSC on 10/23/89. I think the Violator is Tony Zane under the hood.
