I loved how Dundee had Farris in a clinch, and Farris holds him so Mantell could stomp him. Dream Machine is just loaded with charisma. A great nearfall when Dundee gets whipped into the corner and comes off the 2nd rope for body block onto Farris. This is just give and take with no one getting the advantage. The 1st fall sees Mantell/Ferris Dqed at about the 8 minute mark. The men have time for another fall. Dundee and Mantell do some spitited brawling and it's a double countout. I think this is a low end nomination . It was a solid studio bout.
March 23, 200817 yr comment_5429781 I have this included with the angle and interviews prior to the match and as a relatively solid nomination with the whole shebang. I just rewatched the Dundee handicap match though and I love that match even more than I did initially.
May 26, 200817 yr comment_5431627 Yeah this was a ton of fun, I love the Dream Machine so much and wish we had all of his arena tags with Dundee. Mantell v. Dundee is always a sort of rare treat too. This goes on
July 16, 200817 yr comment_5433047 2 out of 3 falls: Dream Machine & “Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. Wayne Ferris & Dirty Dutch Mantell (3/14/81) Ferris is subbing for The Angel for some reason. Dundee is again fucking great here in everything he does, he was easily one of the top 10 workers in the world at this point of his career. Dream is in full quasi-Dusty mode and brings the charisma here while Dutch is again just an awesome heel worker. Ferris was fine for what he was and took Dundee’s punishment well. Dundee & Dutch had some good exchanges and during one of those, Dutch hit Jerry Calhoun by mistake and got DQed to end the 1st fall. The 2nd fall begins with more of the same from the 1st with some great brawling between Dundee & Dutch that would carry out to the floor. Both men just beat the piss out of each other and Jerry Calhoun stops the match for a double countout. I think this should be on the block although a low-end nomination.
