Posted February 27, 200817 yr comment_5428706 Stan Hansen & Ted Dibiase vs. Jumbo Tsuruta & Tiger Mask (PWF Tag Title, 7/11/87) - I really enjoyed the 7/3 matchup between the two teams. Man, I like a lot of things in this one. I love Jumbo abusing Ted’s arm and throwing him into the corners. It still carries the formula of Jumbo and Hansen as team captains with the other two trying not to screw it up. I think this one has the more satisfying finish though wih Hansen giving the 2nd best Lariat ever. I’ll nominate it but only one should be included on the set if one is to make it past the next round. (AJC 153)
May 5, 201015 yr comment_5450483 I liked this a good bit better than the earlier nominated match between the same teams. The work on Jumbo's arm and Jumbo's fusillade of forearms to Hansen's back were high points of the body. And then Hansen's lariat on Misawa was just otherworldly. I'll say yes on this one.
September 11, 201015 yr comment_5455523 PWF Tag Titles: Tiger Mask II & Jumbo Tsuruta © vs. Ted DiBiase & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen (7/11/87) Here is the rematch so let's see how this compares to the 7/3 match. There is some similarities to that match regarding the formula but there is some differences as it had more of a structured feel not a total sprint. Jumbo & Hansen hit hard here as usual and the partners get more offense here than the last match which was a plus. Jumbo gets his left arm worked over good here but him & TM would return the favor by working over Ted's left arm and this was fun stuff. Jumbo taking the cobra twist to the mat on Hansen was a sweet little move and this setup a hot stretch run with TM giving Hansen everything he could before eating a monster lariat to give the gaijin the titles back. This was superior to the 7/3 match in many ways and this is a solid nomination.
