Posted February 27, 200817 yr comment_5428747 January 1988 TV: Kazue Nagahori vs. Dump Matsumoto - This was a typically junky squash by Dump. Clips: Dump Matsumoto vs. Chigusa Nagayo (1985) - Extras disc should include the incredibly weird skit where Dump shows up at the schoolgirl sleepover. Chigusa sings; Crush Girls on a variety TV show with Atsushi Onita Drill Driver & Pirate Kuma (Iwamoto) vs. Fire Jets (Hotta & Nishiwaki) - Drill Driver and Kuma were pretty good thuggish heels, but this was little more than a squash. Yumi Ogura & Chigusa Nagayo vs. Lioness Asuka & Mika Komatsu - This was a very good match with lots of fiercely contested exchanges, clever counters and near falls. The sections in which the Crush Girls squared off were the hottest, but they gave plenty of offense to Komatsu and Ogura as well. It ended when Chigusa caught an overzealous Komatsu in a roll-up. I'll throw it on the pile. December 1988 TV: Bull Nakano & Kumiko Iwamoto vs. Fire Jets - This was short with bad video quality and an ending I didn't quite get. 1989? TV: WWWA title: Toshiyo Tamada & Kyoko Inoue vs. Bull Nakano & Bison Kimura (no end) - Very little of this shown. JWP Handheld: Oscal Tomo vs. Ilia Yonemoto - Lots of not particualrly interesting matwork. Eden Mabuchi & Smiley Mami vs. La Sirenita & Dirty Yamato - Boring. Cuty Suzuki vs. Yuu Yamazaki - OK but not much to it. Yuki Ito vs. Maiko Tsurugi - I'm getting tired of this handheld. Esther & Rossy Moreno vs. Rumi Kazama & Mayumi Ozaki - OK, this was better but it never left 2nd gear. Miss A vs. Halley Saito (special ref Gran Hamada) - Not sure how I feel about this one. It opened with a near shootstyle exchange of matwork and kicks. Then they brawled outside and the bell rang, seeming to signal a countout. But Hamada restarted the match. Not sure why. Saito then pumped up an otherwise dead crowd by kicking out of some near falls. She absolutely killed Miss A with a series of suplexes and an armbar. But Miss A came up with a backslide out of nowhere to win it. Now, that description makes it sound like a pretty good match, but I found myself curiously unengaged. So someone else should take a look. Eagle Sawai, La Briosa & Nancy Kumi vs. Xochitl Hamada, Plum Mariko & Jackie Sato (ref: Hamada) - Lots of aimless work leading to a countout.
