Posted February 28, 200817 yr comment_5428767 Stan Hansen & Dan Kroffat vs. Rock N Roll Express (10/26/88) - RNR are pretty over which is something I did not expect. The first 5 minute is Kroffat vs. Morton and I have no complaints. When Hansen gets in the ring, he just manhandles the RNR except for an RNR hope spot where Hansen injured his arm on the ringpost. The RNR work on the arm for a bit but that didn’t last long before Morton and Kroffat went back to their match within a match. These two worked really well together except for a noticeable flub where Morton was down for three but the ref didn’t count it so the pin could be reversed. There is some nice stuff with the RNR double teaming Hansen before he end sit with a lariat. Not a high-end tag but worthy of a nomination. (AJC 172)
July 7, 200817 yr comment_5432718 I think I liked this even more then you did, I loved all of the Ricky Morton v. Hansen cat and mouse at the beginning, also all of their double teams on Hansen where they worked him like Andre. Just a total blast from bell to bell and a slam dunk. I need all AJ R+R's
May 10, 201015 yr comment_5450636 I liked all the stick-and-move stuff between Morton and Hansen. They could've had a nifty singles series, with Morton winning one match on a flash roll-up and Hansen trying to decapitate him in the re-matches. But they did a nice job of compressing that idea into this little match. The ending fit perfectly with Morton ducking one lariat only to get caught on the rebound. I like Kroffat a lot, but he was a superfluous player. Anyway, this is exactly the sort of unexpected match-up that becomes a treat on these sets. Definite yes from me.
