Posted February 28, 200817 yr comment_5428772 Stan Hansen vs. Jumbo Tsuruta (4/16/89) - This is the Jumbo-Hansen I love where they slap, chop and punch the hell out of each other. I guess Jumbo has been in enough of these fights with Hansen because he is the one initiating brawling in the crowds and using chairs as weapons. The first half of the match clearly had Jumbo on the offensive but the tide turns in the 2nd half. This ends up with a brawl on the outside but it was fun as hell while it lasted. Nomination. May 11, 201015 yr comment_5450690 I wonder if the Jumbo-Hansen matches will do well in this vote after years of being slagged? They didn't build to a lot of big spots or dramatic moments in this one. They were just two big, rugged guys who wouldn't give each other an inch to rest as they traded knees, elbows, forearms, kicks and chairshots for 15 minutes. The countout fit this match better than the flash pin fit their match two days later. I love a top-notch brawl, so I agree with the nomination on this one.
September 16, 201015 yr comment_5455753 NWA United National/PWF Heavyweight Titles vs. NWA International Heavyweight Title: Stan "The Lariat" Hansen © vs. Jumbo Tsuruta © (4/16/89) This starts as a total brawl with Jumbo pounding on Hansen with everything including a steel chair. Jumbo was just beating the shit out of Hansen until Hansen turned the tables and started beating Jumbo's ass. The brawling continued as both men didn't care about wrestling and only cared about punishing each other eventually taking it to the floor where Joe Higuchi would count them both out. This was just pure hard hitting violence and this fucking ruled. Definite nomination.
