Posted February 29, 200817 yr comment_5428829 The Assassins & Ken Patera vs. “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol, Jerry “The King” Lawler, & “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant (8/22/83) Valiant’s reception was nuts as MSC went crazy and this match started out as nothing but a wild brawl with everyone fighting. The heels bump all over the place for everyone even Patera was bouncing around with the fans going bonkers. Valiant chunks chairs in the ring with Idol giving an atomic drop to one of the A-Team on the chair. Valiant uses the security rope to choke an A-Team member then Jerry Calhoun before colliding their heads together. The match is called due to the violence on Calhoun by Valiant but the brawl still goes on after the bell. I loved this and I’m throwing it on the block.
March 4, 200817 yr comment_5428986 Jerry Lawler, Austin Idol & Jimmy Valiant vs. Ken Patera & The Assassins - This felt like the beginning and the end of a match. The beginning started off hot as Valiant had the crowd going nuts. Then about two minutes in, it went to the home stretch of spots that Kris talked about. I am going to have to vote no because there wasn't any meat to the match. It was fun but half of the match was missing according to the announcement.
