Posted March 1, 200817 yr comment_5428884 All Japan Classics 117 Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith vs. Yoshiaki Yatsu & Norio Honaga (12/04/85) - Uneventful match. DK wins with a superplex. Giant Baba & Motoshi Okuma vs. Tiger Jeet Singh & Mario Milano (06/04/85) - No Terry Funk vs. Stan Hansen (08/23/85) - This starts off wild with Hansen body slamming Funk out of the ring. Hansen abuses Funk which is a good thing since Stan doesn’t have to sell and Terry does. Terry’s punches look as great as always so when he makes him comeback using the punches, you believe it. Match ends too soon as the ref gets bumped and Hansen calls Dibiase out from the back to help put Terry out. The post-match was great and may be used as an extra as Hansen and DiBiase destroy Funk and Dory comes out in a suit and makes the save. Dory and Terry Funk vs. Stan Hansen & Ted Dibiase (08/29/85) - Considering what happened in the last match, I think these guys are playing it way too careful. Wrestled as a straight tag, this was rather uneventful. Nothing actively bad but nothing that would want me to watch it again.
September 4, 201015 yr comment_5455308 The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) vs. Norio Honaga & Yoshiaki Yatsu (12/4/85) Bulldogs win fairly easily. Giant Baba & Motoshi Okuma vs. Mario Milano & Tiger Jeet Singh (6/4/85) Yeesh. Terry Funk vs. Stan "The Lariat" Hansen (8/23/85) Hansen slamming Funk from the ring to the floor was fucking insane then he followed up by being the shit out of him with a chair. Hansen continued to pound on Terry which was always fun because it led to the Terry comeback with his awesome punches. Funk then went to work on Hansen's left leg setting up the spinning toehold before it went to the floor again where Hansen regained control and brought it back to the ring. Hansen would miss the lariat with Funk countering with a sleeper before it went to the floor yet again and Hansen getting a backdrop suplex on Funk. They got back in the ring where it became a slugfest until Hansen backdropped Terry back to the floor on a piledriver attempt leading to Hansen choking Terry with his bullrope and throwing him into Joe Higuchi. The choking continues as Hansen calls out Ted DiBiase who is conflicted but attacks Terry and they double choke Terry until Dory runs out using his boot to clean house. The post-match is awesome as everyone is going nuts and a perfect way to end this outstanding brawl between Terry & Stan. I'm with Childs on this one as this was just too awesome not to be on the block. Already seen Funks vs. DiBiase/Hansen.
