Posted March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428896 Texas Bullrope Match for the International Heavyweight Title: Stan “The Lariat” Hansen © vs. “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol (10/3/83) This had some great action as both men bleed good here due to the shots from the cowbell and both men do whatever it takes to tag all the turnbuckles. Hart would give Hansen powder and throws it in his eyes as he goes to touch the 4th corner. Hansen then tries to touch them all but Idol fights his hardest that comes up for naught as Hansen wins the match. Idol cries to Calhoun that powder was thrown in his face and Calhoun would reverse his decision giving Idol the win. This was awesome and a definite nomination even with the overturned finish.
March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428899 Yep, this goes on the block. Great stiff shots, good use of the giommick, and great drama at the end. The reverse decision sucks but easy nomination.
July 4, 200817 yr comment_5432666 This was kick ass. The stiff shots to the bleeding to even the stalling with Hansen was great. This is a slam dunk nomination. Idol is showing on this set that he can have good matches with good workers.
July 11, 200817 yr comment_5432795 Let me fourth this nomination, it is too bad Hansen wasn't in the mix longer as I would have loved a Hansen v. Lawler match, lots of blood, good use of the bullrope, finish is terrible but otherwise good shit.
