Posted March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428897 Bunkhouse Match for the International Heavyweight Title: “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol © vs. Stan “The Lariat” Hansen (10/10/83) This is the culmination of their big feud as Hansen was about to go back to Japan. Everything here was great as both men just beat the fuck out of each other and Hansen pounds on Paul Morton then gives a lariat to Eddie Marlin. Hansen starts getting beaten on by Idol enough that he decides to leave the ring and loses by countout. Was the finish bad yeah but the action here was tremendous and a definite nomination.
March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428900 Damn, Hansen wrestles in his chaps. Anyway, I have to disagree strongly with Kris here. I thought this maight have been the weakest of the four matches. For a bunkhouse match, they didn't really beat the fuck out of each other. They teased some stuff but it was done better in the bunkhouse match. The ref and Eddie Marlin spots were needless and the finish was unsatisfying. Bad end to the feud. With that siad, I have to rewatch 9/12 and 9/19 because at least one of those might be worth consideration.
April 27, 200817 yr comment_5430924 I enjoyed this a bunch, Idol takes an asswhipping and this is a fun around the ring Memphis brawl. Man alive does Eddie Marlin get murdered on that clothesline. I kind of hate DQ finishes in non DQ matches, but I think this makes it.
July 4, 200817 yr comment_5432665 I thought this was a lot of fun with some spirited brawling. This was good stuff and is deserving of an nomination.
