I understand wrestling isn't real but if you are going to force people to vote on matches, there should be some kind of definition of what a match is. For you and me, we have different definitions. For me, the match is what happens bell to bell. I enjoy extra shit and angles and interviews and post match brawls but it means dick if the match itself sucks.
March 3, 200817 yr comment_5428941 I think the issue is less you (and Kris) being against the inclusion and more that you seemed to at least agree to disagree about the concession stand brawls; letting them be included, while you're both acting as if matches like this, the Louisville tag from April '81, etc. are different animals when they're functiononally the same things.
March 3, 200817 yr Author comment_5428942 I already stated ad nauseum that I am against the Concession Stand Brawls being on as matches. I also know that I won't win that argument. However, one of the things we were going to do was see how many matches were going to be nominated and make judgments then. I sent almost 300 discs out with about 100 more to go. A little over half of the 300 have been reviewed. We have nearly 100 nominated matches. If we take out these post-match brawls and throw them on as extras, the Memphis set will still be awesome, still have tons of fun and no one will give a shit if Jeff Bowdren nominated some matches that only exist as clips on his list.
March 3, 200817 yr comment_5428943 I haven't seen this match yet, I think the best thing to do is to have the argument about each match individually. We seem to be pretty split down the middle on definitions. We can re-debate this when it comes up. I am going to keep nominating things like Concession stand brawls and Dundee v. Fuller, and when we start the culling process we can talk about it then.
