Posted March 2, 200817 yr comment_5428925 The Dirty White Boys vs. The Interns (1/14/85) - This was an average, ho-hum tag match until it spills out of the ring and a nice brawl breaks out with Anthony being abused and choked out while Troy Graham holds on to the ref. Sweet visual as they show Anthony being dragged around the concrete by the rope until Denton saves him. It looks like the match is over when an Intern gives Anthony a spinebuster/powerslam thingie when Denton makes an excellent save. Anthony is taking so much abuse. Watch for an AWESOME LEAPFROG SPOT after the hot tag. This is pretty damn great and may be my favorite Dirty White Boys match. It reminds me of the Clash 1 Fans-MX match where they treat it like an Anything Goes brawl but it was a straight tag. This isn't that good but it had so many great spots and flowed so well that it makes for an easy nomination.
March 6, 200817 yr comment_5429068 The Interns vs. The DWB's It's a tad weird watching the DWB's as faces. I loved the brawling on the floor I loved how DWB Anthony was drug around on the floor. This is jsut full of action. The Interns had some neat high impact stuff. I didn't like it as much as Will but this is a good action packed tag match that should be on a disc. I saw this clipped on another disc and didn't play as well.
April 2, 200817 yr comment_5430353 Southern Tag Titles Tournament – Round 1: The Interns (Don Bass & Dirty Rhodes) vs. The Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) (1/14/85) Dream Machine Troy Graham is the Interns manager and he was great in this role. DWB’s as babyfaces is funny to me but they worked good. The action would go to the floor where it would really pick up as it turned into an all-out war with both teams using whatever they could find to use on the other. Anthony would take more abuse until finally getting the hot tag to Denton who would clean house as Jerry Calhoun got bumped. Graham threw his foot rest in the ring but Denton caught it and used it but Jimmy Hart would run out and did the same to Anthony with him getting pinned. This was very fun and a solid nomination.
April 28, 200817 yr comment_5430943 Yeah this was great stuff, the equal of the great DWB's matches on the Mid-South set, the leapfrog spot did rule, and I am on a bit of a Bass/Rhodes high after watching this and the Dundee v. Assassin match on consecutive nights
