Posted March 3, 200818 yr comment_5428949 Lots of music videos for some reason on these episodes, so this would be a good place to look if we are doing a Memphis music videos section. One pretty great match Fire and Flame v. Nightmares 7/12/86 Really fun tag, with Fire and Flame laying in a beating, and Nightmares breaking out some cool shit, including a double tope, Ken Wayne goes Bobby Eaton high on a backdrop too, no finish though with Mod Squad coming out and brawling with the Nightmares. Still one of the better studio matches
May 3, 200817 yr comment_5431019 Dundee does commentary with Lance & Dave for the show. Jeff Jarrett & Pat Tanaka vs. Keith Eric & Keith Roberson (7/5/86) Jarrett & Tanaka look good and Tanaka kills Eric with a German Suplex. Tojo debuts as the manager for Goto & Sato cutting a great Tojoesque promo. Tarzan Goto & Akio Sato vs. Jerry Garmen & Benny Trailer (7/5/86) Squash. Handicap: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Jim Jameson & Mike Murphy (7/5/86) Destruction. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Rough & Ready (7/5/86) Nightmares have turned babyface in the past week and they show the angle after the match. JD Costello then comes out saying that the Nightmares begged him to be their manager and he turned them down leading to a wild brawl with the Mod Squad. Fire & Flame, & The Mod Squad (Basher & Spike) vs. The Bruise Brothers (Mad Dog Boyd & Porkchop Cash), David Haskins, & Mr. Liberty (7/5/86) Haskins eats the fireball this time. This has a great build for the Lawler/Dundee LLT matches including promos and videos. The Nightmares come out for a promo about JD Costello before he comes out with the Mod Squad and has to be held back because he wants to whip them. Handicap: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Jerry Garmon & Benny Trailer (7/12/86) Squash. Tarzan Goto & Akio Sato vs. Davey Haskins & Tracy Smothers (7/12/86) Competitive match but the Japanese wins. Paul Diamond & Jeff Jarrett vs. Memphis Vice (Jerry Bryant & Lou Winston) (7/12/86) MEMPHIS VICE!, this was fun until the Japanese ran in for the DQ. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Fire & Flame (7/12/86) This was really solid with the Nightmares looking great and the heels were solid as well dishing out the pain. Mod Squad came out for the DQ finish but still this was solid enough to go forward.
