Posted March 4, 200817 yr comment_5428992 Dundee vs. Adrian Street/cornette/Miss Linda This looks like a handicap match with lumberjacks with belts. Their is some great Memphis comedy here. Street is great at working his gimmick. I loved how Dundee would just toss cornette out to lumberjacks and they would just whip the tar out of him. This is so great and I'm enjoying this more than the singles match between Street and Dundee.cornettes face is a bloody mess. This match went long and it's amazing how they mixed comedy, with good work. I dug this a lot. I'm going to throw this on the block for a nomination. One of those matches that can play only in Memphis. Mantell vs. Lawler This is some choice brawling out on the floor at the start. This is just hate filled. Their is some clipping here. All the shots with the chairs and fists look painful. Mantell delivers a tight looking piledriver. The exchanges are stiff looking. I nominated this already. About 6 minutes is shown of a great match. We also get a fun post match brawl. Lawler vs. Mantell This is a No DQ match. Lawler knocks the taste out of Mantell's mouth to start. A big spot was Mantell threw a chair at Lawler's leg and gave Mantell the advantage. This is good stuff. I love the structure of the match where both wretlers are just hammering on each other. Lawler's comeback was tremendous. Wow that finish was not what I was expecting. This was a great match and a nomination. Lawler vs. Mantell This is the barbed wire match. Their are some cool teasing of spots throughout the match. I thought both wrestlers were great at working the barbed wire into the match. We get the awesome punch exchanges. Mantell drops a great elbow. Man Lawler milked that Piledriver. This was just a great give and take fight. This was an awesome bout, and a slam dunk nomination. Sheepherders vs. Taylor/Rougeau This is a coleminers glove on a poll match. Rougeau looked great climbing the pole. What I've seen of the Sheepherders in Memphis they have looked great. Rougeau has some neat climb the poll spots. Taylor looks in slow mo in comparison. The stip helps add to the drama, and makes it for a simple reaction. The wrestlers combined going for the pole spots, and tag spots. The Sheepherders miscomunicate and knock each other down. This allows Rougeau to get the glove. This was a fun match. Rougeau vs Quick Draw McGraw Rougeau throws a great looking drop kick. This was o.k. Taylor/Rougeau/Fulton vs. Eaton/Sweet Brown Sugar/Broomfield This is an elimination match. Sugar is looking great in this. He has had some great exchanges with Fulton and Rougeau. Sugar's charisma is off the charts. Rougeau is the 1st to go. Sugar is eliminated next in short order. Taylor does some simple big man/little man spots with OMG. I liked how Fulton tried to chop the big OMG tree down. Fulton is out next. Eaton takes one of his famous high backdrops. Taylor pins Eaton and OMG within seconds of each other. I liked this match, but to me it falls short of a nomination. Hart vs. Fargo ends this DVD.
