“Ravishing” Rick Rude vs. Keith Eric (9/8/84)

 

Lawler tells Eric he wants him out of the ring either by force or on his own so he leaves on his own thus giving us Lawler vs. Rude. Rude stalls and dances around for a while until Hart distracts Calhoun so he cheapshots Lawler and puts him in a piledriver then tries another but Lawler slips out. Lawler drops the strap and starts firing away but King Kong Bundy would come in for the DQ. The Dirty White Boys are guarding the door as the heels destroy Lawler until Savage would show up to make the save. Savage would help Lawler clean house on the First Family and this was awesome. Definite extra.

 

Newly turned heel “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert destroys Jim Jameson and gives him a DDT on the floor. (9/8/84)

Tommy Rich is cutting a promo about injuring Jimmy Hart then Hart shows up in full gear wearing his Southern Handicap Title belt. Rich goes in the ring but gets jumped by the Nightmares who bring a rope and they hang Rich over the top rope until Dutch makes the save. Dutch then tells them that if they want Rich then put up the Southern Tag Titles. Marlin makes it official. (9/15/84)

The studio is hot for this one and it’s nothing but a fight that sees Dutch get a sunset flip for the win. The brawl continues after the match though with Rich getting his ass kicked until Dutch got back in the ring. The heels come out after the break saying that it wasn’t official but Marlin overrules him. Very fun segment and extra material.

 

Jerry “The King” Lawler & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. King Kong Bundy, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, & Kurt Von Hess (9/15/84)

 

This doesn’t last long before the Nightmares come back out to attack the RnR. Lawler would leave the area but came back throwing fire. Fun stuff.

 

They show highlights of Dutch/Gilbert from MSC on 9/17/84.

 

Dutch & Rich are supposed to defend the Southern Tag Titles against the Nightmares but Rich isn’t in the studio and this is the beginning of their angle. (9/22/84)

 

Gilbert gives Jimmy Hart a special jacket that has First Family Victory Tour on the back then provokes Dutch to come out which he does and slaps him in the face. Dutch slaps him back then it turns into a wild brawl involving the Nightmares but New Generation makes the save. Fun stuff. (9/22/84)

Mark’s uncle Rufus R. Jones was late so he finally shows up and cleans house.

 

Lance brings out Jerry Jarrett to talk about the Pro Wrestling USA tapings and he gets a trophy for being a great promoter by the other promoters, how great is that. Of course Bundy & Rude show up and whine about not being on the tapings and start to rough up Jarrett but it brings out Lawler & Savage for one of the best brawls in the studio ever. This is a home run extra.

Rich doesn’t show up so Dutch goes it alone. Dutch comes out fighting but the numbers game catches up to him and they bust him open with a steel chair. Dutch gets pounded on relentlessly but keeps fighting back when a chance arises. They go off the air as the match goes on.
