Posted March 6, 200817 yr comment_5429060 No matches, but this had some great extras Brickhouse Brown has stolen Lawlers crown to set up a match, he puts in a stipulation in the match where he has to shine Jerry Lawlers shoes if he loses, and then basically cuts a Gangstas promo, talking about how all the rednecks want to see him shucking and jiving. Awesome stuff. Lawler responds by talking about how the crown was given to him by Sam Bass his late manager, and how much it means to him. Money promos by both. This also is the debut of George Barns, and I assume we want the whole Barnes v. Dundee feud on as an extra, Barnes is brought in as a babyface to help Dundee and Rocky Johnson but he tells Rocky that in Australia they wouldn't even let guys like him in the ring. Weird episode that feels like it was written by Paul Mooney
May 4, 200817 yr comment_5431048 Downtown Bruno debuts Moondog Spike in a wild video at home with the Moondogs. Fun stuff. The Clones (Mike & Pat Kelly) vs. David Johnson & Ed Mattox (7/4/87) Squash. Brickhouse Brown comes out wearing Lawler’s crown and declares himself the Black Prince. Great stuff. (7/4/87) Brickhouse Brown vs. Ron Nations (7/4/87) Squash. Lawler comes out after the match and cuts an awesome promo about the origin of the crown. This is a definite extra. Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Keith Roberson (7/4/87) King is squashing Roberson when Brick shows up baiting him with the crowd and Roberson uses a chain to hit Lawler but Lawler reverses the pinfall attempt with a cradle to win. Cool ending. George Barnes returns to Memphis and this is tremendous. Slam dunk extra. George Barnes, “Superstar” Bill Dundee, & “Soulman” Rocky Johnson vs. Rooster Cogburn, Bob Owens, & Mike Rose (7/4/87) Squash and Barnes just pounds on dudes. Next is another video by Don Bass singing on a river. This is great. Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) & “Stretcher” Jack Hart vs. Mark Starr, Billy Travis, & Alan West (7/4/87) TV time runs out.
