Diamond & Tanaka vs. Nasty Boys (9/19/87)

- My eyes may be deceiving me but this was pretty damn fun. THe end was convoluted but well executed. First, they do a ref bump spot that actually looked like it could puta ref out. While the ref was out, Diamond tries to take Nobbs out with a chain but gets backdropped. Nobbs grabs the chain and knocks out Diamond. Brickhouse comes in and smashes a chair over NObbs and puts Diamond on top. Jarrett runs in from the back, takes out Brown and puts Nobbs back on top for the pin. After the match, Diamond and Tanaka are outraged. I think I'll put this down as a nomination with the right to change my mind after a 2nd viewing. The post-match with D&T going nuts was pretty great.

Southern Tag Titles: Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) © vs. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) (9/12/87)

This had some fun back and forth action as I loved Badd Co. and the Nasties were pretty fun here as faces. The crowd was hot here as well as they really got into the Nasties after their face turn. The finish was overbooked a little like GH said but I liked it regardless as this was Memphis and this was their MO. Badd Co. had quite the meltdown after the match then brawled with Tracy Smothers bloodying him up. This was a very good studio match and I think this deserves to be a nomination.
