Posted March 8, 200817 yr comment_5429149 ICW #76 Randy Savage vs. Adrian Street - Savage gets fed up with Adrian Street avoiding contact so he goes and takes a seat in the front row. Awesome. All of the stalling must have worked because when they do interact, Street takes control and immediately tosses Savage over the top rope. Street was feeling good because while Savage was down on the concrete, Street gets on the microphone to berate Savage. At this point, Street plays the Bobby Fulton game of keeping Savage outside by not allowing him back in the ring. Great sequence as Savage unloads some sweet puinches on Street in the ring and follows it up with an elbow that causes Street to get tangled in the ropes. When Savage punches him, Street goes upside down and Savage spanks him. Funny shit. The match ends in a double countout which was pretty lame. Still, this was some good Memphis comedy and very similar to the Rude match I nominated which I thought was great fun. It might not be on the set but I want there to be some discussion. The Daydreamers vs. Bryant & Wilhoyt - The Daydreamers are wearing the Nightmares masks with the one star. Is this Davis and Wayne? In the end, Wilhoyt and Bryant start fighting in mid-match allowing the Nightmares to pick up the win. Dirty White Boys vs. The Interns - Already reviewed. Need to compare VQ. Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo vs. Joe Lightfoot and Danny Hagler - Poffo pins Hagler after Savage drops the Big Elbow while Hagler was pinning Poffo.

April 2, 200817 yr comment_5430352 “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. “Exotic” Adrian Street (1/28/85) Savage’s reaction to Street’s antics here was great especially Savage chilling in the front row wearing a fan’s hat taking pictures with a camera. Street would get serious and started pounding Savage though before chunking him to the floor. Street continues to work over Savage and talking shit on the mic while keeping him from getting back in the ring. Lance off the mic telling Randy to get in there and beat the hell out of him was classic here as well. Savage finally gets in the ring and starts his comeback with some great punches then elbows Street in the ropes where he would get hung up and got his ass spanked. Linda gets involved causing Savage to chase after her and Street jumps him on the floor where both men get counted out. I liked this a lot and it should be on the block. Southern Tag Titles Tournament – Round 1: The Daydreamers (Tim Ashley & Steve Constance) vs. Jerry Bryant & Johnny Wilhoit (1/14/85) Ashley & Constance are now wearing the Nightmares masks against the makeshift team of Bryant & Wilhoit who are heel and face respectively. They eventually start arguing and the Daydreamers get the win. Southern Tag Titles Tournament – Round 1: The Interns (Don Bass & Dirty Rhodes) vs. The Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) (1/14/85) Dream Machine Troy Graham is the Interns manager and he was great in this role. DWB’s as babyfaces is funny to me but they worked good. The action would go to the floor where it would really pick up as it turned into an all-out war with both teams using whatever they could find to use on the other. Anthony would take more abuse until finally getting the hot tag to Denton who would clean house as Jerry Calhoun got bumped. Graham threw his foot rest in the ring but Denton caught it and used it but Jimmy Hart would run out and did the same to Anthony with him getting pinned. This was very fun and a solid nomination. Southern Tag Titles Tournament – Round 1: “Leaping” Lanny Poffo & “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Larry Hagger & Chief Joe Lightfoot (1/14/85) Okay match that Poffomania wins.
