And like all 2/3 falls matches, the 3rd fall doesn't happen. That shit pisses me off. I am torn on the nomination. I liked the action but am tired of no 3rd falls already. In between falls... March 10, 200817 yr comment_5429283 This 1st disc is all Jerry Lawler Show stuff with everything that GH has as extras is co-signed by me. Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. The Animal (8/11/84) No idea on the Animal but Lawler finishes him off quickly. Next we get the Eddie Gilbert heel turn on Tommy Rich at MSC on 8/6/84 with a Gilbert promo to follow and Hart putting the sales pitch and this is a definite extra. Eddie Gilbert vs. Ken Raper (8/11/84) Squash. Jackie Fargo & Tommy Rich cut promos about Gilbert’s actions and this is all extra material. Bundy, Rude, & Hart then cut a promo about their match with Fargo & Keirn at MSC on 8/13/84. New Generation (Mark Batten & Johnny Wilhoit) vs. Phil Hickerson & The Spoiler (Frank Morrell) (8/11/84) Fun little match with the faces winning with help from Tojo. Lawler comes out and cuts a vicious promo on Rude so Rude comes out with a baseball bat and bashes Lawler’s car in a legendary angle. Home run extra. (8/11/84) 2 out of 3 falls: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) (8/11/84) I would’ve liked to have seen these teams have a nice long feud although the feud they had in Memphis was pretty fun. The women sure love them some RnR and they looked good here but Nightmares looked just as good if not better at times especially with their double teams and switch outs. Beekeeper would get involved nad he ate a double dropkick but Nightmare #1 would jack Morton’s jaw with a foreign object to get the win. The 2nd fall continues with more of the same action as the 1st with Morton working FIP but he would get a quick sunset flip for the win to even the falls. We don’t get a 3rd one though so this is a draw. Will is torn on a nomination but I’m not so I’m throwing this on the block because of the good action. Lawler would cut a promo after the 1st fall of the match vowing revenge on Rude and his crew. Hickerson & Spoiler then come out and laugh about the RnR challenging for their titles. King Kong Bundy & Kurt Von Hess vs. Jim Jameson & Randy Johnson (8/18/84) Squash. Jackie Fargo cuts a promo about ripping Hart apart then Hart gives his retort. (8/18/84) Next we get the WFIA Tag Team of the Year award presentation to the New Fabs which is funny considering they were only a team for 4 months but the WFIA would give their awards to whoever was the top people wherever they had their convention. Gilbert & Rich come out and this is where the big full-blown heel turn takes place as Rich just destroys Gilbert who hits a gusher. Gilbert then does his apology leading to the turn. The best part about this was that the fans were behind Gilbert. Home Run Extra. (8/18/84) A bloody Rich would return and cut a big revenge promo on Gilbert. (8/18/84) Lawler & Rude cut promos about their match at MSC on 8/20/84. Lawler says that his car got repaired for free by a fan which is great. Mark Ragin vs. Keith Roberson (8/18/84) Squash. They show Dutch beating Roberson at MSC on 8/13/84 after the match then how Dutch cost Hickerson/Spoiler the Southern Tag Titles following with a Dutch promo.
