Posted March 11, 200817 yr comment_5429336 First show had long highlights of the Bass/Fergie v. Lawler/Dundee dressing room brawl from Evansville which is a crazy slam dunk extra, wild stuff which compares to Tupulo. There were also a pair of Nasties v. RPM's matches which I could seem someone nominating, as they both got a bunch of time. I think they are a step below, but you all should check out both.
May 5, 200817 yr comment_5431056 Bobby Jaggers cuts his first promo in Memphis calling out everyone. (10/3/87) Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) vs. Ed Mattox & John Paul (10/3/87) Squash with Jaggers on commentary. Next we get the Evansville Dressing Room Brawl and this is reminiscent of the Concession Stand Brawls in Tupelo. Slam dunk extra. “Superstar” Bill Dundee & Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Rough & Ready (10/3/87) Squash and they attack Boss Winter after the match. Then we get a video of Dundee/Lawler to Bad by Michael Jackson. Next they debut the Jeff Jarrett poster with some male fans booing. Southern Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll RPM’s (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) © vs. The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) (10/3/87) This was like the match from the week before an okay match but nothing special and the Nasties regain the titles after interference from Jeff Jarrett & Bobby Jaggers. Billy Travis vs. Keith Eric (10/3/87) Squash. RPM’s come out whining about Dundee & Lawler getting a shot at the AWA World Tag Titles. (10/10/87) Tracy Smothers vs. Keith Eric (10/10/87) Squash and the RPM’s are still at the desk. “Hangman” Bobby Jaggers vs. Ed Mattox (10/10/87) Squash. Don Bass & King Carl Fergie vs. John Paul & Freezer Thompson (10/10/87) Squash. Next we get video of Hennig defending his AWA title against Jeff Jarrett at MSC on 10/5/87. Jeff Jarrett & Billy Travis vs. Rough & Ready (10/10/87) After the match, Jarrett & Travis then get into a confrontation with the RPM’s. Southern Tag Titles: The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) © vs. The Rock n Roll RPM’s (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) (10/10/87) This is the rubber match and a little better than the previous two and the RPM’s win the series using a chain again to win the titles then get into another confrontation with Jarrett & Travis afterwards.
