Jumbo Tsuruta & Genichiro Tenyru vs. Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith (12/07/85)

- Tneryu & Jumbo take turns abusing the Dogs and they are laying in some stiff strikes. Pay attention to the double clothesline spot with Jumbo and DK, the impact with both guy's running top speed looks painful. After that, both guys quickly tag to their partners but not before Jumbo and Tenryu give Davey a nice double forearm. HOwever, the Bulldogs would get Tenryu back on the outside when they send him into the guardrail. Inside, it looks like Jumbo was going to put Davey away with the backdrop driver but Davey tags DK while he had Jumbo in the headlock so DK gives Jumbo a nasty headbutt. I am surprised because Jumbo is giving alot to the Dogs when I thought Tenryu would be stuck in that role and Jumbo would be the savior. The natives are bringing the double team moves in this match as they give Davey a double enziguiri. Davey gets the advantage back but you can tell he is blown up becasue he is going back to the chinlock after every big move. Awesome spot as Davey has Jumbo in the chinlock, Tenryu chops him off so Davey puts Tneryu on his shoulders in an airplane spin position. DK jumps on Tenryu's back and gives Jumbo a flying headbutt. Both teams are giving the great double teams. I'll give this a nomination just so you guys can check out the double teaming and the stiff strikes. It may not make the final cut but it was fun as hell.

Man, it was a shock to go back to the time of shitty finishes after all the well-developed endings in 1989. But anyway, I enjoyed some stuff in this match. Dynamite's desire to go toe-to-toe with big guys was one of his more charming traits, and his exchanges with Jumbo were the highlights for me. The crowd really wanted to see that pairing and Dynamite's offense had enough snap to make it work. Davey and Tenryu didn't do a whole lot of memorable stuff outside of the double teams. I was surprised that Jumbo took the diving headbutt and rolled out of the ring for the finish. The match needed another beat to leave me satisfied, so no vote.

Real World Tag League: Genichiro Tenryu & Jumbo Tsuruta vs. The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) (12/7/85)

This is a good tag team match as you have two teams that work as teams not just two guys put together as they both use some nifty double teams here. DK was very fun here going nose-to-nose with the big men here especially against Jumbo with the double lariat spot being a catalyst then you had the DK version of the Liontamer on Tenryu where DK looked like he was about to explode. The spot where DK jumped off Tenryu's back for the diving headbutt on Jumbo was awesome although it would lead to the dreaded double countout. There was some really good action here with both teams working hard and this moves forward.
