Posted March 12, 200817 yr comment_5429399 This is the episode with the Hector's hair removal angle, which of course is a slam dunk extra. They also show the clipped semi finals and final of the Southern title tourney from MSC Bobby Jaggers v. Billy Travis 10/19/87 This is the finals of the Southern title tourney. Travis gets rammed into the post and does a man sized blade job early, Jaggers works over the cut until Billy makes a come back including a nasty second rope kneedrop. Billy thinks he won, gets caught with a Jaggers lariet. Not a long match, and not a high end nomination, but the blood and the rare 87 MSC match makes this a nom.
May 5, 200817 yr comment_5431058 Jeff Jarrett & Billy Travis vs. Keith Eric & Keith Roberson (10/24/87) Squash. Hector Guerrero comes out bringing “Hector’s Hair Remover” as Dr. D wears a sombrero cutting a tremendous promo saying that he wants to try his cream. (10/24/87) Dr. D vs. Jim Jameson (10/24/87) Hector wipes the cream on Jameson’s head and sends him running away. This is fucking great and should be a definite extra. Hector Guerrero vs. John Paul (10/24/87) Lawler comes out with Jameson who is missing a chunk of hair due to the cream as Hector laughs his ass off. Lawler then tells Hector that if he puts that stuff on him then he will kill him. Lawler comes out with a gun sending Hector running like hell but it’s a toy gun. Hector leaves and forfeits the match. The Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) vs. The Assassins (10/24/87) These Assassins are jobbers. The Rock n Roll RPM’s (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) vs. John Paul & David Wilson (10/24/87) Squash. They show highlights of the Southern Heavyweight Title tournament from MSC on 10/19/87. Southern Heavyweight Title Tournament – Finals: “Hangman” Bobby Jaggers vs. Billy Travis (10/19/87) Jaggers would post Travis early in the match and he pops a gusher with the blood streaming down his face as Jaggers works on the cut relentlessly. Jaggers tries to put Travis away many times but Travis kicks out of every pin attempt. Jaggers would eventually get the best of Travis and won the vacant title. As far as a nomination goes I’m on the border but this would compare to the Hickerson match because they were very similar but the Hickerson match was better than this one.
