Maybe someone can explain this better than me when they watch this match but it seems like evryone here is a little bit off in their execution. I wouldn't call it sloppy, just off. Anyway, it ends with Yatsu making Fuyuki submit to a leg lock. Johnny Ace vs. Kenta Kobashi (9/2/89) - Battle of future tag team partners. Another dead crowd but these guys do some nice things inbetween holds. Surprisingly, Ace's offense is the one thing that brings the crowd alive... the headscissors out of the ring, a monster clothesline, a flying back elbow. Late in the match, the crowd gets into it when Kobashi takes to the air and they do a ton of nearfalls. Ace wins it with a nice flying clothesline followed by the Ace Crusher. I am going to nominate it but will not go to the wall for it in the end. This is a low-end nomination. Stan Hansen & Genichiro Tenryu vs. Jumbo Tsuruta & Kabuki (9/30/89) - Man, I had really high hopes for this one but it jus tfelt flat to me. It seemed like the guys were going through the motions.

Johnny Ace vs. Kenta Kobashi (9/2/89) Future tag partners collide here at the Budokan. Ace definitely looks better here than he did just 6 months ago as being a member of the Dynamic Dudes has made him better. Kobashi works a basic offense early but Ace brings the high impact moves until Kobashi decides to step his game up hitting a big plancha from the top rope to the floor. This would start the stretch run featuring some really good action with lots of nearfalls. Ace would finally win the match after his 2nd Ace Crusher and while this was a fun match, I don't think there was enough for a nomination. Stan "The Lariat" Hansen & Genichiro Tenryu vs. The Great Kabuki & Jumbo Tsuruta (9/30/89) Tenryu makes his return to AJ Classics here. This was another match that was just a decent match nothing more nothing less.
