March 16, 200817 yr comment_5429513 2000 Kawada/Tenryu vs. Hansen/Kea (07/28/00 - AJPW) - this is my favorite match from All Japan in 2000, better than Kawada/Tenryu for my money. 20 minutes of kicking the shit out of each other, which is the style AJPW should/would(??) have followed if Mutoh hadn't come in and taken over. Ishikawa vs. Murakami (11/06/2000 - BattlArts) - this and the 10/01/00 Ishikawa/Malenko vs. Murakami/Nagai match should be included if just for the unprecedented amount of punishment that both matches bring.

Low-Ki ECWA 7/21/01 Basically the two matches that started the modern indy wrestling era. Haven't watched them in a while, but they blew my mind live back in the day.
April 18, 200817 yr comment_5430736 It's been a while but looking over that list 2 Takayama matches and only one Hashimoto match doesn't seem representative of the high end stuff from those years. How does No Fear v Double Takeshis hold up? How does the Ogawa v Takayama GHC title change from 2002 hold up? As also odd to have no GHC title matches pre Kobashi. Yoshinari Ogawa held the belt for almost half a year in 2002 ( hifgh end defenses included I think Taue and Rikio). Also missing from 2002 is any of the Kikuchi/Kanemura v New Japan matches. I remember their being a bunch of Hashimoto title matches that were really good as well. But fuck my memory is shot and I have no idea if they were NWA defenses or pre injury All Japan Triple Crown ones. I remember really digging a title match opposite Tanaka and maybe one with Yokoi. But Zero-One is a complete blur. Also a complete blur to me is New Japan stuff that didn't involve Takayama or Kikuchi but I do know that Gedo/Jado held the IWGP junior tag title a bunch and were thought well of. Is their a Non-Stuart New Japan fan out there?
