Looks great, but I hope they include matches that I don't already have. On the list that's there, I already have Flair-Race, Flair-Rhodes, Snuka-Muraco, and Slaughter-Patterson.

 

I'm happy about the others on there though. But Hogan never fought Mr. T I'm afraid.

Yeah, the matches they listed are barely enough to fill one DVD, much less three. I'm thinking the extras are what's going to make this an essential purchase.

Anyone else notice how they're beginning to commonly change the old logo into a block WWE logo, as well as blackening it out on Hogan's title belt? Isn't the re-writing of history fun?

The ones on the box are just a partial list. They're the only ones officially released. I checked Highspots, and they're the only ones they have too.

Yeah, I don't really care either way, I just found it weird how, after the change to WWE, they went from simply changing the logo, to eventually blurring out the scratch WWF logo in any Attitude era footage, to eventually developing a block WWE logo (mainly for John Cena merch), to using that WWE logo for official releases like this (albeit, this is the only one I've seen). I wonder if the Fund or the courts gave them separate deadlines after the court case.

It's fascinating how they find the time to pay so much attention to detail on things like this, but when it comes to the product they put on TV, they put almost no long-term thought into the ramifications of each win and each loss.

Rhodes/Flair and Muraco/Snuka were on the Bloodbath dvd, and Race/Flair was on the Flair dvd. Still, it would be nice to get ahold of Piper/Valentine, Slaughter/Patterson, and Lawler/Von Erich since I haven't seen those matches before. I'd love to see WWE release a bunch of their pre-1985 footage. A "Best of MSG" dvd would have some gems.

I think that match is Steamboat's title win. The other two matches have shown up on WWE dvd before, but not this one.

I'll probably get this but I have all but the NWA Tag Title match, the AWA and Mid-Atlantic stuff on tape. I would've liked to see more NWA stuff. They need to start getting the Midnight Express onto these things.

If you mean WWE DVD-wise, Flair-Steamboat Chi-Town Rumble isn't available. The only Flair-Steamboat matches the WWE released were Clash VI and WrestleWar 89, both on the Flair DVD set.

I think all three are on Flair's DVD and they call Chi-Town Rumble "the Greatest Match." I don't feel like putting the disc in and sitting through "Don't Try This at Home" to check.

 

Wrestlewar 89 is also on HHH's DVD. It was the main reason I bought the thing.

WrestleWar and Clash are the only ones on the Flair DVD. I remember because I had mentioned I wanted Chi-Town on DVD more than WrestleWar.

Chi-Town is possibly the best match of the three as well, or at least the most fun to watch.

I like Clash the most with Chi-Town being a close second. I find WrestleWar to be overrated as it's mostly just a dumbed down version of Chi-Town.
