Since I remembered I asked for Stampede to get its own folder for this reason...

I think that Stampede should be its own poll. We have a ton of it, and there's some great stuff, but its limited by the format of the TV and I don't like the idea of ranking the matches directly against anything else. Keeping the Stampede matches amongst themselves, you get to vote for the best matches in their goofy TV format, plus it'll probably be a popular set (though it's a WWE-owned library and we need to figure out how we're handling those if we're not doing any sets for blanks). Between me and Will, we have most of what's available, though I have a bunch on VHS & Beta that I need to convert to DVD.

We can then move Montreal into AWA since they had a strong affiliation and most of the other Canada (besides stuff like Maple Leaf which will be part of NWA Part 1) can be moved into Other US (now Other US/Canada).

What do you all think?

What time period? For whatever reason, there's not much from '86 floating around. I know Roy has at least a couple shows that I'm missing.

On Beta, I have a 5-6/86 tape and a 8/86 tape. On VHS I have a bunch of '88-'89 TSN originals in EP (better quality than Dan's stuff from Tim Sorkin but they don't have dates, only volume numbers - and the labels have fallen off some of the tapes) as well as a bunch of stuff from Verne Siebert. I know you expressed an interest in converting the Verne stuff at least so if you have the time to do it soon maybe we'll work something out with those.

I still do, I just got caught up in other stuff.

The Verne tapes (and the TSN stuff too if you can try to date it) are yours to convert as long as you send me the DVDs of them. I need to get some flat-rate Priority Mail boxes.

I don't like that because then you're comparing it to stuff that is too dissimilar in formatting.

If self-contained, you're comparing the best of the annoyingly hacked up Stampede format. It's not fair to compare Stampede TV to just about anything else, even if the other available Canadian stuff would largely be outvoted by Stampede, because then the other Canadian stuff is being compared to a radicall different animal from itself that could be making the Stampede matches look better than they really were by cutting out a lackluster opening.

I'm not saying we do it very soon or anything, but it's such a radically different presentation than anything else we're dealing with, we have a lot of it, and it's a legendary territory that people will probably be very interested in, too.

As we get more into it, we can also get a better feel for what an "average" TV length is and consider throwing stuff out that's less depending on the actual match length and whatnot.

Oh, and a promotion that ran Kawada vs Canek and Rusher vs Tim Flowers has to be separate from everything else.
