Quality tag match with a hot studio crowd. The Nightmares have some cool doubleteams, including a nasty splash onto a Batten whose throat is over the top rope. Ken Wayne also has some great headbutts. Battens sold well, too. Finish sucked but it a was good enough match to throw on the block and now I'm much more curious to see their match from a week earlier (which Phil nominated).

The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Bart & Brad Batten (12/29/84)

This was fine southern tag wrestling as you had chickenshit heel stooging, twin brother switching, great punches, illegal double teams, and good fast paced action. The match would be stopped by Jerry Calhoun as the teams wouldn’t quit fighting. Very fun stuff and it should move forward.

The Nightmares vs. The Batten Twins, 12/29/84 WMC Studios (Louisville TV 1/5 & 1/12)

- Is this the only place we have this match? I would take a downgrade in General VQ if it meant getting rid of the tracking issue throughout the match. This is so much better than the other match thanks to the sweet Nightmare double teaming and shenanigans. It is like the Nightmares developed a personality in one week. Now all they need is the make up. The drawback is that the finish sucked and it was pretty brief. I’ll endorse this.
