Posted March 22, 200817 yr comment_5429750 Chain Match for the Southern Heavyweight Title: “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol © vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (4/20/87) Idol is whining about the chain match stip to Jerry Calhoun so as this happens Lawler hooks the chain to the top rope and then decks him with a chain out of his tights to win the title in 36 seconds. Lance goes into the locker room and Idol cuts an enraged promo then interviews Lawler who is having a party. This was awesome and a definite extra. Then we get a video of the Lawler/Idol history and this is great. Next we get highlights of the Lawler/Idol cage match. Bill Dundee makes his return to Memphis and cuts a fucking awesome promo on Idol & Rich and they cut a taped promo on Dundee. This is a home run extra. (5/2/87) Then we get some other stuff that isn’t Memphis and is from 1990. This spotlights Lawler as a heel in the USWA and this is some fucking great stuff.
