This was better than their MSC match at the aborted ESPN pilot taping, as it gets a ton of time for a studio singles match (something like 14 minutes) and I really liked it. Lots of cool counters based around Poffo's flexibility which make you really buy that he can blow himself at will. I dig Oski as an inoffensive guy that better wrestlers can build around like the matches I've nominated and the match in WCCW at the Will Rogers Coliseum as Jerry Allen where he sells a great mauling by Abdullah and juices heavily. DQ finish worked well to forward the Savage-Oski feud as Randy comes in and hits a great looking double axehandle out of nowhere on Oski as he has Lanny in an abdominal stretch and they beat him down after the match. I may get hell for the multiple Jerry Oski nominations but I'm standing by them.

Lanny Poffo vs. Jerry Oski, 5/18/85 WMC Studios (TV 5/18/85 WMC Feed)

- Lanny looking like a Killer Bee here. Man, Lanny is just so fluid in this. Poffo just throws limbs in directions I don’t expect. Even when breaking a pin, he briefly teases the head scissors which was pretty cool within the sequence. Poffo’s face/heel game was an added dynamic that gives this match more life. Definitely moves forward.
