This has AWA announcers, but it is in Nashville and has Memphis refs so I assume we are counting it here. Pretty fun stuff, mostly punches, but it really had a big match atmosphere. I loved all of the horseshit here, as both Lawler and Kerry punch out the ref, and get double DQ'ed. Then they restart the match and Kerry hits the piledriver for the win, but the KO'ed ref sees the piledriver and DQ's Kerry via Tennessee athletic commission rules. Fun stuff.

AWA World Heavyweight Title: Jerry “The King” Lawler © vs. “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich (9/17/88)

I think this counts more as an AWA match as it was an official AWA taping in Nashville not a Jarrett Promotions taping. This is one that we need to move on as an AWA match because this was a pretty damn great match with both men just punching the hell out of each other and the piledriver finish in Tennessee was awesome stuff. Easy nomination regardless.

I am going under the assumption that this is going on Memphis. You know, after watching this, I am going to say that I am enjoying the Lawler-Kerry series more than the Flair-Kerry series and I made an entire comp of that feud. Maybe it is because this seems so fresh and new and I have seen so much Flair-Kerry over the years. i'll be interested to compar ethis with the Superclash match and the other match I haven't seen but this is an easy nomination if it is going on the Memphis set.
