Dream Machine & “Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. Masa Fuchi & Atsushi Onita (5/16/81)

Fuchi & Onita are asskickers early just pounding on Dundee who eats offense for a long time here bumping all over the ring. Dundee then starts trying to fight back and would finally get the hot tag to Dream Machine at the 10:26 mark and he cleans house giving a big slam to Onita but Fuchi hits him with the kendo stick and puts Onita on top for the pin. This was a great performance by Dundee who had no offense but got the hell beat out of him for the entire match and I’ll co-sign a nomination.

Masa Fuchi & Mr. Onita vs. Bill Dundee & Dream Machine, 5/16/81 WMC Studios (Louisville TV 5/23)

- The work on Dundee’s arm was solid. Awkward spot where Fuchi tries to leg drop Dundee’s arm but Dundee moved it so there was some miscommunication somewhere. Still, I think the Sullivan-Ferris match is really, really similar and we have to consider if we really need both. Also, Dream Machine’s punches are Lance Storm weak. This was basically a handicap match up until the end so we may just want to put on the actual handicap match which was better. I am goingnto vote no only because we have a handicap match that is better than this and a Dundee/Dream Machine match that is better.
