Posted March 28, 200817 yr comment_5430094 All Japan Classics 111 Kabuki/Takashi Ishikawa v. Jerry Lawler/Jimmy Valiant (02/05/85) - This was not good. Ishikawa ends it with a sharpshooter on Valiant. Tiger Mask vs. Pirata Morgan (12/08/94) - Really fun 10-minute sprint. The execution of some of the moves looked awkward in some places and really great in others. The end came out of nowhere and they didn’t really build to it so I am going to give it a No vote for now. Giant Baba/Mighty Inoue/Takashi Ishikawa v. Rusher Kimura/Ryuma Go/Goro Tsurumi (03/09/85) - Nothing special but everyone seemed really energetic here. Stan Hansen/Bruiser Brody vs. Dory and Terry Funk (PWF Tag Title, 12/08/84) - It starts off with Brody & Hansen taking turns abusing Dory. There is a lot of over-exaggerated bumping but everyone is staying active. Of course, when Stan and Terry are in the ring together, they get the best segments out of the match. After an awkward collision, Terry takes a great over the top rope bump to the floor. While the match is perfectly fine, even with a Brody piledriver on Terry that is soon forgotten, nothing really stands out until they start brawling late in the match. Eventually, I think Terry is disqualified for using Brody’s chain and they brawl after the match.
September 1, 201015 yr comment_5455237 Already seen the Lawler match. Tiger Mask II vs. Pirata Morgan (12/8/84) This was fun as hell watching Pirata go balls out trying to impress here hitting an awesome tope suicida on the floor while TM II tries to hang with him and the fans popping big for the spots. It wasn't a long match and was nothing but a total spotfest which was fun but not a nomination. Giant Baba, Mighty Inoue, & Takashi Ishikawa vs. Rusher Kimura, Ryuma Go, & Goro Tsurumi (3/9/85) The Baba/Kimura feud is in full force here as Baba has finally decided to come down the card. Sumo Hall loved this especially when Baba & Rusher were going at it and everyone was working hard here but this isn't a nomination. Real World Tag League: Bruiser Brody & Stan "The Lariat" Hansen vs. Dory & Terry Funk (12/8/84) Terry's back from retirement of course and this is your standard version of this match with the Funks getting their asses kicked but Terry saving the match on their end with his awesomeness especially against Hansen. The brawling was good before Terry decided to go nuts destroying Joe Higuchi then the big men with Brody's chain. This was fun but not a nomination.
