Posted March 28, 200817 yr comment_5430096 All Japan Classics 112 Dynamite Kid/Davey Boy Smith vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi/Higo Hamaguchi (2/5/85) - This really started off fast and fun and I like all of these guys. I love Davey Boy ramming Kobayashi into DK’s head instead of the turnbuckle. Later on, the match seemed to fall apart. At one point, Davey Boy and Kobayashi were not on the same page and had no business being in the ring together. I also had a problem with the inconsistent body work from the natives. They had no idea what part of the body they wanted to focus on. This was one of those matches you could see nominating if everything clicked but it jkust turned into a mess toward the end. Harley Race & TG Stone vs. Killer Khan & Masanobu Kurisu (3/9/85) - This wasn’t very good. However, one cool spot had Khan pop Stone in the head with an enziguiri as Khan was leaning back on the ropes. In the end, Race pins Kurisu after a brainbuster. Tiger Mask vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi (3/9/85) - I really like Kobayashi but I was not feeling this match as much as their June match. The back suplex outside the ring looked incredibly weak. I may have to re-watch this if someone else nominates it but a no vote for now. Giant Baba vs. Tiger Jeet Singh (PWF Title, 2/5/85) - I may be too biased to properly watch the Singh matches. I really don’t like his shtick and have no desire to watch his matches. If Singh pops up on the set, it will be because you guys nominated one of his matches.
September 1, 201015 yr comment_5455238 I've seen the Bulldogs match already. "Mr. Puroresu" Harley Race & TG Stone vs. Killer Khan & Masa Kurisu (3/9/85) Stone getting an All-Japan gig is hilarious and that was all Race since he worked for him in Kansas City. This wasn't much of anything. Tiger Mask II vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi (3/9/85) The Tiger Hunter is on the hunt now in All-Japan and he was solid here. He nuked TM II with a backdrop suplex and threw a great swinging back kick among other things but TM II bored me here until he missed a twisting pescado to the floor but he got right the fuck up and back to the ring which was annoying. He did hit a sweet tope suicida though and the action picked up although the double countout finish sucked. Fun but not a nomination. PWF Heavyweight Title: Giant Baba © vs. Tiger Jeet Singh (2/5/85) Nope.
