Posted April 6, 200817 yr comment_5430457 All Japan 1985 #14 6/22/85 Road Warriors vs. Khan/Kurisu Baba/Ishikawa vs. Singh/Milano Jumbo Tsuruta, Genichiro Tenryu & Okuma vs. Riki Choshu, Toshiaki Yatsu & Higo Hamaguchi - So-so 6-man except when Jumbo was in there and everyone picks up their intensity, including the crowd. The end run with Tneryu was hot but someone runs in and interferes and starts attacking everyone. Can someone tell me who this was? I think it was Hara. If this thing wasn't so jumpy, I might nominate it but the jumpiness on my computer screen made it really hard to watch. 6/22/85 Special Tiger Mask vs. Kobayashi Jumbo/Ishikawa vs. Yatsu/Hamaguchi Riki Choshu vs. Genichiro Tenryu - They do a long stretch where Tenryu tries to neutralize Choshu's arm so Choshu counters by tying up Tenryu's leg. So, while Tneryu is playing defense, Choshu takes the opportunity to go on offense and try to hook on the Sharpshooter. Awesome spot where Choshu charges Tenryu in the corner but Tenryu knees Choshu's arm and then kicks the shit out of it. Tenryu takes advantage and tries to hit his big moves (Bulldog, Powerbomb) but Choshu is saved by the ropes. A 2nd bulldog results in a Choshu block and a back suplex. This allows Choshu to lock on the Sharpshooter. The end run has Tenryu countering with enziguiries and Choshu attacking Tenryu, throwing him outside and busting him open on the ringpost. Choshu keeps attacking and throws the ref out of the way for the DQ and we end with a pull-apart brawl. This was another solid match between the two but not quite as good as the 1986 ribs match.
