Ole & Arn Anderson vs. Rocky King & Gene Ligon

JJ Dillon & Buddy Landel Interview

- Nothing here

Buzz Sawyer vs. Ivan Koloff

- Oh man, if only this was an arena match. Early on, each time Buzz gains control, he ends up biting Ivan’s arm. After a lockup, Ivan tries to choke Buzz so Buzz starts choking Ivan until the ref gives the five-count. Once Ivan takes control, he starts working the arm but we get a commercial break. Buzz takes control with a powerslam but keeps selling the arm, while also damaging the back. He works the bearhug while throwing out a press from the top rope, a couple of suplexes and even clubbing the back when Ivan looks like he is gaining ground. After a ref bump, Jimmy Valiant runs in and makes a quick three count for Buzz and the Russians hit the ring. This was fun enough to throw on the block with Buzz looking great, selling the arm and working the back.

Michael Hayes Interview

Buddy Landell vs Sam Houston

Fun little bout. Houston really eats Landell's offense pretty good. Budro showing his skills off. A real good show case for Buddy.

I 'll give this a low level nomination. This is a real good meat and potatoes match. They did these sorta mirror sequences with the nuances of their character. Ivan was great at working the crowd. Super fun match

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Sam Houston (4/13/85)

Landell looks great here taking it to Houston who was giving guys fits at this time but Budro totally neutralized him.

Magnum is out next for a promo holding his US Title and talks about wanting all the competition that wants a piece of his title.

Next we get the Flair promo with the ladies from last week.

Michael Hayes vs. Joel Deaton (4/13/85)

I would've loved to have seen this match 4 years later. Deaton has his moments here but Hayes puts him away with relative ease.

Then we get the great Ragin Bull video set to the bullfighting music into Beat It.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & Thunderbolt Patterson vs. Paul Garner & Mike Jackson (4/13/85)

It's fun when Bull & Jackson are in the ring together the rest is blah.

Arn & Ole then come out and talk about their feud with Bull & T-Bolt as well as the current status of the National Tag Titles.

Tully Blanchard vs. Paul Diamond (4/13/85)

So funny seeing a young Paul Diamond working against Tully here and Tully has no issues winning here with the Slingshot Suplex.

Dusty is out next talking about all the families in JCP right now and says that his family right now is Buzz Sawyer & Jimmy Valiant and they will take on anyone. Dusty is great here.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Rocky King & Gene Ligon (4/13/85)

Andersons put on a clinic here working over the arm of both men before finishing off Rocky.

Budro & Dillon are out next talking about wanting Magnum TA and the US Title.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer (4/13/85)

Ivan complaining about Buzz's furry boots is great. Pretty fun start with hard chops by Buzz and random biting until Buzz rams his shoulder into the ringpost giving Ivan the opening he needed to work him over. Ivan is vicious working over the arm even with Buzz biting him on the leg but Buzz would hit a desperation powerslam for a nearfall. Buzz used that moment to regain control and would get a nearfall off a suplex before going to a grounded bearhug which turned into a belly-to-belly when they got on their feet. Buzz would continue to work the bearhug after that both standing and on the mat in between nearfalls off of a press slam, butterfly suplex, and a gutwrench suplex. Nikita was really upset at ringside during all of this and you wondered when he would make his move. Buzz would sling Ivan accidentally into referee Mike Fever then got an O'Connor Roll on Ivan which brought out Jimmy Valiant to make the count. Nikita then entered the ring along with Krusher and it was 3-on-1 on Valiant until Dusty & Buzz made the save. Very fun studio match and I'll pass this forward as a low-end nomination.

Michael Hayes is out next saying that the Russians ain't the 6-man champs until they meet the Freebirds. Hayes then says that Flair gets his women from Stewart Avenue (which is a fucking great line because at that time in the ATL and even now Stewart Avenue now known as International Avenue was home to many strip clubs and hookers.) This is the Hayes I love as a babyface reppin the ATL spoutin out Skynyrd lyrics. Extra material.

Dusty, Valiant, & Buzz are out next talking about their family and their war against the Russians. This is awesome. Extra material.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Josh Stroud (4/13/85)

Nikita handles his business here very easily using the Russian Sickle to win.

Bull & T-Bolt then come out and talk about their battles with the Andersons with both men making a pact to stay together.

The Barbarian & Superstar Billy Graham vs. Jim & Mac Jeffers (4/13/85)

The future Mod Squad get destroyed here as Abdullah the Butcher makes his debut at ringside with Paul Jones.

Next we get the Russians who are pissed off at Dusty and his family for interfering in their business and they talk about a future NWA World Six-Man Tag Titles match.

Magnum TA vs. George South (4/13/85)

Magnum wins in seconds.

Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Vernon Deaton (4/13/85)

Easy win for Pez.

Andersons then come back out for another promo on Bull & T-Bolt.

Krusher Khruschev vs. Mike Somani (4/13/85)

Krusher doesn't even take off his headband for this one as Somani is no match for him.

Tully is out next with Baby Doll talking about getting his TV Title back and he calls the fans illiterate which is hilarious.
