Ron Garvin vs. Black Bart (Loser Leaves Town Match)

- I really like Bart’s bumping. Garvin’s hand is injured so Garvin uses headbutts to knock Bart down. He is also laying in the stiff kicks made better by Bart’s bumping. Bart doesn’t do much but attack Garvin’s hand but he doesn’t have to do much else. Garvin starts doing his twisty carny shit later on and it looks painful. I love this idea of Garvin having to find different ways to take Bart out because his hand is injured. Then, to make this match a stone-cold lock in my eyes, Bart does a senton (probably going for a leg drop) on the injured hand. Late in the match, Garvin knocks Bart out, sacrificing his hand but Bart has his leg on the ropes. As Ron argues with the ref, Baby Doll hands Bart a loaded elbow pad and knocks Garvin out in a shock ending. Great ending to a sweet match. Strong nomination.

I give this a solid nomination. Garvin is like the 80's version of Finley. He's just a hard hitting mofo. He uses an arsenal of strikes on Bart. Garvin's right hand is taped up. Everytime Garvin would have momentum Bart would go after the hand to stop it. Garvin sold the hand injury beautifully. Bart takes a beating here. We get a screw job finish. Good stuff here.

Magnum starts the show with a promo talking about how Flair knows he can't beat him and he is running scared.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. George South (6/8/85)

Manny at one point drops South right on his head on a snap suplex. South gives Manny a tussle but Manny would win easily. Bull cuts a promo after the match wanting some gold and calls out all the champions.

Magnum TA vs. Mike Simani (6/8/85)

Another extremely quick win for Magnum.

Dusty Rhodes is out next talking about Abby giving him cracked ribs saying that Abby weights 400,000 lbs. Dusty said that he would be getting his revenge soon.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Mark Hawk (6/8/85)

Dusty is at ringside doing commentary for this and he talks about having cracked ribs. Baby Doll talks shit on Dusty while Tully loses Hawk as he tries the Slingshot Suplex and Tully gets pissed off stomping Hawk hard on the floor. Dusty then enters the ring hitting Tully with the bionic elbow before Baby Doll rakes him in the eyes and Tully goes after the ribs.

Flair is out next for a promo talking about how great he is and then goes off on Manny talking about Rambo when Flair is better than Rambo. Flair then talks about he went to the limit once in his life and it took Lynda Carter & Bo Derek to do it. Extra material.

"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer vs. Randy Beason (6/8/85)

Sawyer is pissed off about the Andersons attacking him the week before and he takes it out on Beason who actually tried to go for the bad eye.

Brett Sawyer makes his debut next talking about Buzz having his eye injured by the Andersons.

Arn Anderson vs. Larry Clarke (6/8/85)

Brett does commentary for the match and you know something is about to go down. Arn destroys Clarke and calls out Brett saying where is Buzz at which leads to a brawl where Arn takes Brett out with a gourdbuster on the floor. Slater then comes out to help and Arn attacks him too which leads to an enraged Buzz coming out fresh from the shower and he goes nuts. Slater then cuts a passionate promo vowing revenge afterwards. Arn is a fucking lunatic here and he had to have given Brett a concussion with the kick right in the head. This is a fantastic angle and a slam dunk extra.

The Koloffs are out next talking about being the NWA World Tag Champs and how no one can stop them.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Rocky King (6/8/85)

Pez Whatley comes out as the match starts and said that he is going to take Rocky King under his wing because he feels like he has potential. Nikita just takes his time here destroying Rocky.

Loser Leaves Town Match for the National Heavyweight Title: "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin © vs. Black Bart (6/8/85)

Tully does commentary here. Garvin comes into this with an injured right hand after punching the belt two weeks ago when he was trying to KO Bart so it's easy pickings for Bart. Garvin though is a tough bastard and fights through it using other forms of offense other than his patented right hand. Garvin also decides to return the favor to Bart as he works over Bart's right arm and hand in specific while the fans chant "BREAK IT." After some good back and forth action Garvin nailed Bart with his injured right hand and pinned Bart for the 3 count but Bart's foot was on the bottom rope. Baby Doll then goes to Bart and gave him Tully's loaded elbowpad to KO Garvin to win the title. This was a damn good match and moves forward fairly easily.

Koloffs are back out next for a promo talking about Garvin losing and how everyone is jealous of them. Nikita calls out The Road Warriors as well.

"Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Paul Garner (6/8/85)

Dusty is out next talking about what happened with Garvin and his battles with Tully and that he is going to spank Baby Doll until she loves him.

Bart then comes out with his National Title and said he told everyone what he was going to do and he did it.

Italian Stallion, Thunderbolt Patterson, & Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Randy Barber & The Rock n Roll RPM's (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) (6/8/85)

This is quite the matchup and the babyfaces get a spotlight win.

Buzz & Slater are out next talking about the deal with Brett earlier and Buzz cuts a passionate promo about what happened. This is good stuff.

Arn then comes out gloating about what he did to Brett earlier.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Mike Nichols (6/8/85)

Tully is in Abby's corner here since Abby is working for him as a bounty hunter against Dusty and Abby just mauls Nichols. After the match, Tully cuts a fun promo gloating about beating Dusty down and that Dusty can't stop him with Abby around.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Green Shadow (6/8/85)

What a jobber this Green Shadow is and Ivan manhandles him.

Arn then comes out gloating about what he did to Brett earlier saying that since Ole wasn't there he had to represent the Andersons right.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Gerald Finley (6/8/85)

Landell is a machine here and puts Finley away with the Figure-Four fairly quickly.

Flair then comes out and takes more veiled shots at the WWF saying this ain't Rock & Roll or Hollywood this is pro wrestling. Flair then says that he is going to make Nikita his personal gardener which was a great line then calls out Magnum before turning his focus to Buddy Landell who was in the ring and said he was available anytime. This was great. Extra material.
