First appearance of Cornette and the MX

Midnight Express vs. Dale Williams & Carry Clark

Jim Cornette Interview with him hyping up the Midnight Express

- Definite extra as this is pretty monumental.

Jimmy Valiant vs. Carl Styles

Dick Slater Interview

Black Bart vs. Italian Stallion (National Heavyweight Title)

- Stallion tries to control early by working the arm. After a commercial break, Bart has Stallion’s arm wrapped in the ropes and starts headbutting his arm. Bart works over the arm and it is indeed an intended senton as he drops his ass on Stallion’s arm. Quick ending as Stallion is making his comeback but as the ref grabs his arm to stop him, Bart grabs Stallion’s legs and gets the pin with his feet on the ropes. This was a fun TV match, definitely low level nomination, but worth throwing on the pile for you guys to check out.

Both guys try to establish their strength. Stallion with some fun arm work. Back from break and Bart is working over Stallions arm. Stallion showing fight. Bart's offense has a nasty edge to it or meaness to it.I wish the crowd would get behind Stallion so the match would come across more dynamic. If Morton does it this match would be a nomination. Stallion isn't Ricky Morton though.

David Crockett is back with Tony on the next show after being out a couple of weeks due to the attack by Nikita.

Black Bart then comes out and tells Ronnie Garvin to bring it on and that he will get rid of him permanently.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Roy George & Alan Martin (6/29/85)

The Andersons wreck these jobbers.

The Koloffs are out next with Ivan bitching about David being there with Tony standing up for David saying you can't keep a good man down. Ivan then calls out Flair & Roadies with Nikita following with his own words of wisdom. David gets in Nikita's face which was funny.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Gerald Finley (6/29/85)

Finley gives Uncle Ivan some fits early in the match but Ivan takes care of him soon thereafter.

Flair then comes out and talks all kinds of shit especially on Nikita for attacking his friend David Crockett and says that he will make him his personal gardener. Extra material.

Next we get a GOD DAMN awesome video of Dusty sitting at some table in Pecos, Texas with Betty Lou behind him and barbed wire on the table while Whiskey Bent & Hellbound by Hank Williams Jr. plays in the background. Dusty then drinks tequila in honor of Tully. This is a slam dunk extra.

"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer vs. Jimmy Dill (6/29/85)

Buzz steamrolls through this guy.

Tully then comes out in his bunkhouse attire to respond to Dusty's video from earlier and says that he is ready for anything Dusty has.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Larry Clarke & Dale Williams (6/29/85)

This is the debut of MX & Corny on TBS with Corny cutting his first promo afterwards and this is a slam dunk extra.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Carl Styles (6/29/85)

Valiant wins quickly and was on a kissing spree today.

Dick Slater is out next for a promo calling out Kevin Sullivan and talks about Cornette should've been spanked more as a child.

Black Bart vs. Italian Stallion (6/29/85)

Stallion gets some shine early on as he frustrates Bart with his offense with Stallion especially keying on Bart's left arm. Bart would then take over and he would work over Stallion's left arm as payback. Bart was ruthless working over the arm and Stallion tries to fight back using his right arm but he couldn't weaken Bart. Bart would miss a headbutt in the turnbuckle though that let Stallion make a comeback but Bart would take Stallion's legs from under him and put his feet on the ropes to pin him. This was a fun TV match but it was too one sided for me to be a nomination.

Valiant then comes out and cuts a promo about Paul Jones who would then come out alone to confront Valiant with Jones cutting a very passionate promo talking up his background as a great wrestler and don't take him lightly. This was good stuff.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Kent Glover (6/29/85)

Fairly easy win for Manny.

The Sawyers are out next talking about their issues with the Andersons and Brett looks high as a motherfucker.

Corny then comes back out and cuts a great promo. What made Corny so great in this promotion was that his style was so different than any other manager JCP ever had.

Sam Houston vs. Jason Walker (6/29/85)

Spotlight match for Sam with Tully & Baby Doll coming out to do commentary. Tully talks about Sam being Dusty's protege and Tully whooped Sam's ass with a belt before Dusty ran out to make the save.

Magnum TA is out next talking about what just happened and he said that Tully is now on his radar now since he wants to beat up on his protege.

Next we get Starship Eagle vs. Mark Fleming from one of the syndicated shows.

Denny Brown vs. Paul Garner (6/29/85)

Denny gets a spotlight match against a bigger dude than him.

Magnum & Manny are out next talking about how they are going to team up in the future to take on teams like the Midnight Express.

"Mr. Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Nick Busick (6/29/85)

Busick puts up a fight but Slater gets the win fairly easily.

Tully is out next with Baby Doll where he cuts a celebratory promo about taking out Sam Houston.
