Posted April 12, 200817 yr comment_5430631 Super match and an easy nomination though not quite as good as their previous 2 big stip matches. Possibly the best Lawler comeback I've ever seen, which included a re-enactment of the rapid-fire combination punches from the Texas death tag several months earlier (though Dundee doesn't sell it nearly as well as Landel's masterful performance). Dundee's flying jabs from the top rope were really fun, too. Make sure to include buildup promos from the Lawler Show on Memphis '86 & '85 DVD #1 that aired on the day before the match as well as any buildup that the Evansville shows might have.

May 28, 200817 yr comment_5431715 Lawler vs. Dundee (Loser Leaves Town) - I love Dundee. Lawler is outside the apron catching his breath so when Dundee steps through the ropes, he capitalizes on Lawler resting his hand on the apron and stomps on it before going outside. This match doesn't have as much substance as the other LLTs but damn it sure is fun. The outside brawling and use of the furniture was well-played. After ramming Lawler into a table outside, Dundee goes after Lawler's head with a clothesline, flying punch, and a piledriver. Add the fact that both guys have the best punches in the business and their slugfest doesn't disappoint either. I laugh when people criticize Lawler and Dundee for just punching when their exchanges bring the crowd alive more than any "big MOVEZ'. I love how Dundee used his boig moves earlier and could not put Dundee away but Lawler experiences the same problem when he gets the advantage. It takes a Dundee mistake for Lawler to set Dundee up for a jumping piledriver that kills Dundee dead. Great match. Maybe not as good as the other two but still freaking awesome.
July 30, 200817 yr comment_5433394 No DQ No Time Limit Loser Leaves Town for the International Heavyweight Title: “Superstar” Bill Dundee © vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler (7/14/86) This is the rubber match in their LLT series and man was this awesome. They brawled in and out of the rings that’s right rings plural since there was 2 rings that night for a battle royal. The punches were thrown in bunches by both men and Lawler juiced from all the damage that Dundee gave him. The slugfest that happened when Lawler dropped his strap was so fucking great as the fans were going apeshit for every punch thrown by both men. The war then just kept going with both men getting false finishes before Lawler hit his 3rd jumping piledriver on Dundee to get the win. Epic war and as slam dunk as it gets.
