Posted April 13, 200817 yr comment_5430652 All Japan Classics 85 Chris Adams, Chavo Guerrero & Jose Lathario vs. Fishman, Bill Irwin & The Mongol (6/17/83, Ft. Worth, TX) - OK TV match from World Class with Chavo getting the pin on the bigger Mongol after a flying body press. However, the camera screws up exactly at the moment of the pin so we don’t actually see the three count. Mil Mascaras vs. Mighty Inoue (12/8/83) - This doesn’t last long before Mil gets the pin. Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Tiger Jeet Singh (3/3/83) - This was a longer and more controlled bout between the two. Jumbo looked good but Singh brings his typical choke offense and shitty shenanigans. I think Jumbo won by DQ after Singh pulls the ref out of the ring but I can’t be sure. Giant Baba vs. Harley Race (PWF Title, 4/20/83) - This was like an accelerated version of the December 1982 match. It didn’t have the ref bump or idiocy but it also didn’t develop as well as that match did. It felt more like a series of tried and true spots. The ending also was bad with both men brawling outside for the countout.
August 29, 201015 yr comment_5455103 Already seen the 6-man. Mil Mascaras vs. Mighty Inoue (12/8/83) This was basically a Mil squash. Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Tiger Jeet Singh (3/3/83) Jumbo was fine here but damn did Singh suck dick here with all of his bullshit and the match ended up in a DQ of course when Singh pulled Joe Higuchi from the ring to the floor. PWF Heavyweight Title: Giant Baba © vs. "Mr. Puroresu" Harley Race (4/20/83) Yeah this was the condensed version of their matches with no structure just going through their normal spots to get it in so basically no real psychology. There was also the shitty countout finish but at least there was some really good heat for Baba here.
