Once again from my personal collection.

Steve Keirn has challenged every member of the First Family to singles matches and they come out in full force.

Steve Keirn vs. Speed (Ken Wayne) (10/31/81)

Keirn wins this in 36 seconds.

Steve Keirn vs. The Nightmare (Danny Davis) (10/31/81)

Keirn has Nightmare in the figure-four when Sweet Brown Sugar jumps off the top rope for the DQ.

Steve Keirn vs. Sweet Brown Sugar (10/31/81)

Sugar pounds on Keirn then jumps off the top rope with a beautiful diving fistdrop for the DQ. Sugar would then hit an awesome dropkick off the top rope as he continues to beat on Keirn until Eddie Marlin forces the Family to leave as they celebrate their victory.

Lawler comes out to talk about his match against Killer Karl Krupp on 11/2/81 at MSC with Jimmy Hart as the referee and he expounds on his anger by challenging him to a fight on TV. Krupp comes out and Lawler steals his riding crop then starts whipping him all over the studio with it as the studio goes nuts. (10/31/81)

Next we get highlights of Lawler & Tojo vs. Cuban & Iranian Assassins from MSC on 11/9/81. Lawler piledrives Hart injuring his neck.

Andy Kaufman cuts a promo at MSC on 12/7/81 declaring that he can beat any woman in Memphis and puts up $1,000 on the line along with his hair if he loses.

10 Man Battle Royal for a gold watch featuring Cuban & Iranian Assassins, Bill Dundee, Bobby Eaton, Ricky & Robert Gibson, Steve Keirn, The Nightmare & Speed, & Tojo Yamamoto (12/12/81)

This was a fun battle royal that ended up with a wild sub-brawl with Dundee/Keirn vs. Lane/Sugar that left Robert Gibson & Bobby Eaton as the last two men in the ring. Gibson would have Eaton ready to go over the top rope but the Assassins would jump in using a wooden spike to bloody Gibson. The heels would then destroy the gold watch until Ricky Gibson ran them off.

“Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton (12/12/81)

Eaton starts off with a flurry throwing some great punches and keeping Dundee on the mat but Dundee would soon fight back with some great punches of his own but Eaton would take him right back down. Eaton would maintain the pressure until Dundee made his comeback and it became a slugfest with some tremendous punches thrown by both men as TV time ran out. This was really solid and I think it deserves some consideration so I’m putting it on the block.

Eddie Marlin comes out to present Bill Dundee & Steve Keirn their new Southern Tag Title belts and Dundee comes out decked out in an awesome suit. The Midnight Express (Norvell Austin, Dennis Condrey, & Randy Rose) then show up to make a formal challenge for the titles but the champs decide to walk off. MX then call them chickens among other things. (12/19/81)

Next we get a video of Kamala squashing King Cobra, Jerry Lawler, & Stan Lane from past MSC shows (6/26/82)

Then we get clips of Steve Keirn lifting weights in preparation for his match against Kamala at MSC on 6/28/82. (6/26/82)

Lawler cuts a promo on the Iron Sheik in preparation for their match at MSC on 6/28/82 that Bill Watts would be proud of as he is very anti-Iran here. Then we get a retort by Hart & Iron Sheik.

Next we get clips of King Cobra/Dutch Mantell from MSC on 6/21/82.

2 out of 3 falls for the Southern Tag Titles: The Midnight Express (Norvell Austin & Dennis Condrey) © vs. “Outlaw” Ron Bass & Carl Fergie (6/26/82)

The first fall was dominated by the MX who looked really solid but Fergie got a flash pinfall to win it. The second fall started with more of the same but Bass would come in and they started working on Norvell’s left arm stretching it on the mat. Condrey would tag in and they started working on his arm but the MX would turn the tables on Bass. Fergie would get the hot tag though and started firing up but Hart would hit him with the cane and Condrey would get the pin to even the falls up but TV time would run out making this a draw. I tell you this was a damn good match and really long so I’m throwing this up on the block for consideration.

Steve Keirn & “Dirty” Dutch Mantell vs. “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton & Sweet Brown Sugar (7/3/82)

Eaton & Sugar would take it to Keirn early showing great teamwork as always but would soon get the tag to Dutch who would get tripped up by Eaton thus setting off a 4-way brawl on the floor and a double countout. Good for what it was.

“Outlaw” Ron Bass & Stan Lane vs. The Angel (Frank Morrell) & Dream Machine (7/3/82)

Okay match nothing special.

Next we get highlights of Kamala vs. Dundee at MSC on 7/12/82.

“Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton (8/28/82)

Jim Cornette makes his debut doing commentary for this match with Lance telling of his background in the business. Cornette plays total babyface here calling Eaton trash and that he won’t manage anyone like him. This is yet another solid match in their series with Dundee hauling off the punches and Eaton bumping all over the place. Hart would run in for the DQ though followed up by Sugar making it 3-on-1 until the faces clear the ring.

Then we segue into Cornette & Lawler with Lawler ribbing Cornette about his relationship with his mother and making fun his wardrobe. Lawler then turns down Cornette’s offer to manage him in a nice way. Definite extra due to the historic significance.

“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton & Sweet Brown Sugar vs. Spike Huber & Steve Regal (9/4/82)

Memphis had a working relationship with Dick the Bruiser’s WWA at this point and was recognizing their titles as world titles although this was a non-title match. Sugar’s dancing around in the ring was awesome here as he was such a dick and the fans hated his guts then Regal dancing to mock him was funny. Huber & Regal were a pretty decent babyface team although maybe a little bland but were fine in the ring although Huber had a lot of resentment due to being Bruiser’s son-in-law. Eaton & Sugar would get the advantage on Regal using their good teamwork but the time would run out before any type of comeback. Fun stuff though.

Keirn cuts a promo in his bed as he is recovering from surgery after an elbow injury and he vows revenge on the Family for injuring him. This injury was to get Keirn out of action so he could grow a beard to become a Fabulous One. Dundee would cut a promo from the studio with Terry Taylor where he expounds on the revenge that Keirn wants and this was a tremendous promo as he makes Keirn’s injury sound career threatening. (9/11/82)

We open with a Hart interview.

Next we get a gauntlet match with Keirn and the 1st Family. This was a boatload of fun, but not a nomination.

A neat Lawler segment is next.

Next we get highlights of Lawler & Tojo vs. Cuban & Iranian Assassins.

Andy Kaufman cuts a promo claiming that he can beat any woman in Memphis and puts up $1,000 on the line along with his hair if he loses.

A Battle Royal is next and it is fine.

Dundee vs. Eaton

Eaton controls Dundee with arm bars and hair pulling. Eaton delivers some amzing punches to Dundee. I dug Eaton's heeling here. Dundee is great at selling a beating. Dundee also threw some tremendous punches. Dundee does a mean looking stomp to Eaton's hammerlocked arm. I loved the punch exchange at the end.

A neat segment with Marlin, Dundde, Keirn, and the MX.

A spotlight video of Kamala.

A Keirn workout video.

Lawler cuts a great promo on the Iron Sheik.

MX vs. Ron Bass and carl Fergie

I'm digging how the faces control the beginning part of the match with some good arm work. I'm digging condrey here. Norvell Austin is great as well. The Mx are just taking it to Fergie. Their was a hopespot or 2 here. Fergie gets a flash pin on condrey because of Dennis hotdogging it. In the 2nd fall the faces go back to the arm work that was established in the beginning of the 1st fall. Bass was figure 4ing Austin's arm while attempting the pin attempt. That was freakin cool. I think the faces are great at focusing their attack on the arms of the MX. All the arm work makes sense in the story that is being laid out. They are trying to kill the clock since they are up 1 fall to 0 and would get the titles if the 2nd fall ends in a draw. The heels cheat a get the duke. This was good stuff and should get a nomination.

Keirn/Mantell vs. Sugar and Eaton.

This was good, but just not enough to get going.

Lane/Bass vs Angel/Dream Machine.

This was solid.

Dundee vs. Eaton

This is another good match between the 2. I was liking this better than the 1st until it ended. We get a nice beatdown of Dundee post match until the faces make the save.

A neat Lawler/cornette segment.

Bobby Eaton & Sweet Brown Sugar vs. Spike Huber & Steve Regal

This was fine, but didn't have time to get going.

A Keirn segment ends the disc.
