Posted April 22, 200817 yr comment_5430806 I was talking to Dan and while we thought initially that NJ would be one of the last sets, Dan said that we are about as close to completion as can be. *He had 1980 and 81 discs but lost them in his move. They are gone for a long time. *1989, he said that he will release a 1989 set that will combine 1989 classics and TV. *We have TV seasons from 1982-88. *I worked out a deal with Dan where he will be sending me the original run of NJ Classics in increments. The 1st batch is ready to go. I'll have them all by the end of the summer. *We will need to pick up all of the Sky-A classics but that won't be too difficult as we have a nice batch available right now. So, should we work on NJ now? I know Phil was up for it and I already sent Tom the 1984 season. Speaking of which, Tom, when are you going to get cracking on those? Once the Classics arrive, I'll get started on those as well like I did for the AJ classics. However, here are my concerns... -Memphis has gone slower than I anticipated. I was hoping for a May release but that is a near impossibility now. I guess we can extend the deadline for Mid South while we are at it. -Lucha has become a dead zone and joshi has slowed own alot, but Dean just started so we'll see how that goes. I have also been sidetracked from the joshi so I am partially to blame. -I sent Portland to Naylor. He told me he has been watching but he hasn't posted anything yet. I have fallen off here but have some Friedlander Portland on the way. At this moment, I am reluctant to keep sending out more footage when we are sitting on so much footage that I have sent out already. Let me know what you guys think.

Obviously with New Japan being so big it will probably take a while, if we finish lucha and joshi at the same time, we will have a nice long while to work on New Japan

Obviously with New Japan being so big it will probably take a while, if we finish lucha and joshi at the same time, we will have a nice long while to work on New Japan I agree but we may be able to finish New Japan BEFORE joshi. Joshi has a ton of awesome action that I have seen so far but Loss was right... you can only watch in increments. I have a 3 day weekend so I'll get moe joshi done but this one will take awhile. Plus, Dan doesn't have listings for 160-224 yet so I don't know how much left are repeats, new shows, etc. Tonight, I am going to go through the TV and highlight the overlaps in New Japan TV and classics. Since the classics are 99.9% complete matches, I will run through those first before tackling TV. Dan said that most of the commercial matches have been on TV/Classics so those will be picked up for VQ upgrades. Like All Japan, by tackling classics first, you save time burning through the TV and fighting through JIP and clipped matches. Either way, we can tackle New Japan before we worry about territory sets like World Class or the NWA sets.

July 13, 200817 yr Author comment_5432933 OK, I talked to Phil the other night and New Japan is the next set to be released. After that, I suggest we start on World Class. In the meantime, we should keep plugging along on all of the other sets we are already working on so we can stay ahead of the game. Joshi- As Dean, Loss and Chils know, this is a hard set to go through. You can only watch this stuff in increments. While we don't have much collecting to do, it wil ltake awhile to go through it all. Portland- I keep finding footage slowly but surely. No need to rush it. NWA- I think we are gaining significant ground in collecting all the footage but again, no need to rush. All Japan- I have reviewed all but a handful of classics. Once Dan gets the TV out there, we'll tackle this. Lucha- I know Phil wanted to do this one but we should be patient and see what unearths since it is primarily 1989 heavy right now.

Anyway, it will be easier to go through a collection we have most of the pieces of than something that we don't. In the meantime, we'll still be working on other categories to make life easier in the future.

After your crew has gone through the discs I have sent out, be courteous and pass them along to the opposite crew. This way, no one should feel left out on footage and you can still have input on the other set. I will be putting both sets together but will only ask for NJ donations when Memphis is finished. I'll use my own chunk of change to help get the Texas distributed and make it up with donations down the line.

July 30, 200817 yr Author comment_5433400 Still in the process of getting it. However, we have a good chunk. I think I have about 200+ discs of Texas laying around. Plus, I have a couple of sources for the later years which is where we are lacking. I also need to pick up the 24/7 that has been circulating but that shouldn't be too difficult. Either way, I think if we start on it now, we will be in really good shape when NJ is finished.
