Posted April 23, 200817 yr comment_5430825 The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) vs. The Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton) (11/18/85) This is JIP from MSC but it looks like we didn’t miss but a couple of minutes. MX spend the early part of the match working over Lane’s left arm until Condrey wrings Eaton’s arm by accident. Both teams would trade the advantage until the MX started double teaming Keirn. Cornette would also help his team using the tennis racket on Keirn and the MX would really work over Keirn’s neck. Lane would get the hot tag after a few minutes and started cleaning house until Cornette ran in for the DQ. I’m putting this on the block as I really enjoyed it.
April 23, 200817 yr comment_5430828 How's the VQ? Warburton constantly mentions to me how he had a snowy (bad UHF reception) copy that he lost and never saw it around much, much less a better version?
April 23, 200817 yr Author comment_5430829 It's middle of the road, it isn't great but it's far from bad.
July 5, 200817 yr comment_5432671 This is JIP about 5 minutes in. I thought it was solid, but a tad underwhelming. I would give it a mild endorsment on the novelty of the matchup. Overall, i'm on the fence on this one. I thought the pacing was a tad slow considering who was involved. Then again that might have been that we were JIP. I thought the MX had some fun stooge spots, and dug their control segments.
August 1, 200817 yr comment_5433490 The Fabulous Ones vs. Midnight Express, 11/18/85 (5/18 - 12/21/85) - I love the arm yanking spots where Lane is getting his arm destroyed but Condrey ends up yanking on Eaton’s arm later on. However, nothing else really stood out to me and the ending sucked. I vote no.
