Scott Casey & Tommy Rich come out talking about their situation with Buzz Sawyer & Larry Zbyszko then retorts from the heels. (7/2/83)

The Fantastic Ones (Bobby Fulton & Terry Taylor) vs. Larry Hare & Bill Rose (6/25/83)

This is from GCW Superstars in Chattanooga.

Solie interviews Tully Blanchard about coming into the area representing Southwest and Pez Whatley shows up to defend Georgia. (7/2/83)

Sawyer then comes out and challenges anyone from the state of Texas and any other state to come try him on for size. I dug the Georgia/Southwest feud too bad they didn’t go further with it.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Terry Ellis (7/2/83)

Sawyer just mauls this guy.

King Carl Fergie & Norman Frederick Charles III vs. Rick Connors & Ken Hall (6/25/83)

Also from GCW Superstars.

Freddie Miller then interviews the Fantastic Ones & Steve O getting them familiar with the fans.

Steve O vs. Deke Rivers (6/25/83)

Also from GCW Superstars.

Buzz comes out narrating footage of him & Rich brawling all over the Omni on 7/3/83. (7/9/83)

Zbyszko comes out with his National title belt that he got back from II at the Omni on 7/3/83.

Iron Sheik vs. Brett Wayne (7/9/83)

This was fun stuff as Brett threw some good dropkicks and Sheik was fluid with his moves. Ellering would tie Brett up in the ropes letting Sheik pound on him and as he loaded up his boot, Garvin would run in for the DQ.

Junkyard Dog makes his return to WTBS and comes out to motivate his “brother” Pez Whatley as he is facing Buzz Sawyer. JYD slaps Pez in the face to make him into an animal.

Pistol Pez Whatley vs. “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (7/9/83)

This is nothing but a flat out brawl as both men roll around on the mat punching each other to start the match. Buzz would hit a powerslam on Pez but missed a diving splash off the top rope giving Pez a chance to get up and hit a flying clothesline to get the win. The entire face locker room would come out to congratulate him as he scored the first pin on Buzz on TV in a long while. This is definite extra material.

The Road Warriors come out with their new look of painted faces and haircuts and fire Paul Ellering for no reason then beat the hell out of him.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot & Mike Starbuck (7/9/83)

Squash.

Sawyer comes back out bleeding and wants more of Pez Whatley.

Larry Zbyszko vs. Bob Brown (7/9/83)

This is very competitive for a job match.

Buzz then comes back out demanding that Whatley come in the ring which he does and the war is back on. Pez goes to work on the cut on Sawyer’s head before being thrown into Scrappy McGowan. Buzz then chunks Pez over the top rope to the floor and tries to give him a piledriver but Pez backdrops him and follows it up with a bodyslam. Pez would post Sawyer and hit him with another flying clothesline for another pinfall. This was awesome stuff.

Zbyszko comes out whining about his belt being stolen again and II comes out with the belt saying that it’s his belt and if he wants it then he would have to take it from him personally by beating him clean in the ring. II then jumped in the ring asking for Zbyszko who would come out for a brawl before the hourly break.

Ellering would come out and declared war on the Road Warriors.

They would then show clips of the Fantastic Ones vs. Rick Connors/Sam the Samoan from GCW Superstars on 7/2/83.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Bob Brown (7/9/83)

Killer Brooks started the match but Sawyer demands to take his place and destroys Brown. Sawyer then cuts a maniacal promo afterwards.

Jim Cornette leads his entire Dynasty in a promo followed up by Dundee at TBS Studios.

Then we get a Kernodle/Slaughter vs. Mark Fleming/Ron Rossi match from Mid-Atlantic.

Sawyer goes nuts again this time as Solie shows footage of him losing twice to Pez Whatley the week before. Great stuff. (7/16/83)

Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Pete Martin (7/16/83)

Zbyszko watches the match from ringside with Brooks & Sawyer joining him. Whatley would fight off 4 guys after the match who was trying to collect money from Zbyszko until the faces would come out.

Larry Zbyszko vs. Rick Rood (7/16/83)

Rood makes this competitive.

Then we get another maniacal Sawyer promo and he was awesome at this point.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Ronnie Garvin (7/16/83)

This is a rematch from last month where Sawyer walked out. Sawyer takes a nuclear bump off a Garvin backdrop where he almost was out of camera view before they went to the mat. Garvin really works on Buzz’s left arm early on but Buzz would chunk him to the floor leading to him taking control. Buzz would roughhouse Garvin using a beautiful salto then a suplex that looked like it took a lot out of Buzz. Garvin would come back here using punches and headbutts but would miss his kneedrop from the ropes leading to Sawyer trying for a spinning toehold. Garvin would kick him off but ate a vicious forearm in response although Garvin would lock in an inside cradle that Buzz would reverse for a win. This goes on the block as it was hard hitting and fun as shit.

Bruno Sammartino Jr. vs. Bob Brown (7/16/83)

Bruno Jr. makes his return and gets a fairly easy win.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Tracy Stohr & Jim White (7/16/83)

This is a mauling.

Wild Bill Irwin vs. Mike Starbuck (7/16/83)

Squash.

Bill Apter has a funny PWI Press Conference with Killer Brooks.

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Bob Roop (7/16/83)

This was fun while it lasted as Rich won in a couple of minutes with the Thesz Press then Sawyer attacked him after the match. Buzz pounded on Rich and every jobber that tried to help before being pulled off of him. A bloody Rich then cut an angry promo on Sawyer afterwards.

The Angel & Jerry Novak vs. Bill Rose & Tracy Stohr (7/16/83)

Cornette makes his first appearance at TBS Studios on the main show and is really good with Solie.
